AJ is the ultimate STORYTELLING vocalist of all time LeAnn Rimes So, I just listened to LeAnn Rimes sing Crazy at a live concert in Scottsdale, AZ on 9/26/23, and I thought to myself no one could ever come close to doing this song justice like LeAnn can, but this version by Angelina Jordan surpasses the golden sounds by LeAnn. Angelina is by far the greatest vocalist, and that includes men, that there has ever been in my lifetime. If a complete version of Crazy by AJ was played on country stations, it would be number one. This proves my point that AJ can be number one in all genres, not just jazz.

I've just come across this video by Ron Crans. First, I listened to it and cried (what else is new!). Then I read the comments (just like I did when Kaleidoscope RMX posted it a long time ago). I thought it was okay to view it (I was one of the first people to see the video posted and I read RMX's explanation on the video and I thought they explained themselves very well. But, OMG, the roar from the opponents was loud and clear. I read their objections and I was made aware that Angelina told us (how did she tell us?) that she didn't want the video to be posted. I was reluctant to make a comment this time but I feel the need to. I will take an unusual stance doing it. Two situations have become very serious matters involving her recording of 'You Say' on the Christmas pay-per view Show. One positive and the other negative. Without a doubt, at least in my mind, her singing 'You Say' was the best she has ever done and to me, personally, it has been the most memorable and greatest moment I have ever heard in my life. EVERYONE OF US WERE IN TEARS WHEN WE HEARD HER SING THIS IN THAT CHRISTMAS SETTING. I am not going to defend either side and don't tell me who was right and who was wrong. I will tell you this, there is always one bad apple in the barrel and it has to be removed. Let's end this controversy right now. It's like brothers fighting with brothers or sisters fighting with sisters. WE ARE FAMILY. "WE ARE FAMILY!" We know that and maybe (I don't know how) that is a factor which was not considered when very important decisions had to be made. We can only guess what they were (but it's not our privilege to know) but the powers to be in the Angelina camp might have given it more thought to the way they were informing Angelina's devoted fan base (devoted doesn't even come close, does it!) about pending restrictions about why they didn't want the video to be viewed anywhere else than on the Christmas Show. A blanket statement saying they were sorry and that it was an issue that had their full attention. They should have acknowledged that they had become very aware of the 'unrest' by the fan base wondering why it couldn't see the performance. Were financial matters a concern? Has anyone considered what Lauren's camp had to say about all of this? I will close with one particular opinion. I paid to see the Christmas Show (I wouldn't have missed it for anything!) and I never considered for a second that no one else will ever see this. What? Forever? For goodness sake, the objection that someone paid to see the Show shouldn't allow them to take such a hard stance. As far as 'disobeying' Angelina and her wishes, that is disturbing. But the temptation to do so would have been lessened if the fan base understood there were complications involved. No, we would never be able to stop over zealous reactors from posting it on you tube but, I'll tell you what, none of us would have watched it and instead we would have told the reactors to pull it off the air! Michael, if you read this, let's get rid of this bad apple. As she gains more and more popularity this song will be loved by literally millions of people all over the world and will the problem get bigger and bigger? Michael, I was so thrilled when I saw RMX had made a video of it (not live, of course)! Then, after regaining my composure, I read their explanation. I said to myself, "uh oh, what's going on here?" The RMX video was pulled almost immediately. Two things you can establish for us: One, it is now okay to view the performance (live) by a reactor. Two, the reactors should not be posting it because of (???) reasons and etc., etc., etc., And, If that is the case NONE OF US WILL WATCH OR SUPPORT THAT REACTOR IF THEY DISREGARD A DIRECTIVE CONCERNING THE VIEWING OF THE SONG, LIVE ON THE CHRISTMAS SHOW. The word enemy has been removed from our vocabularies. Angelina is all about love and she has touched all of us and her love is in our hearts. It we shouldn't be watching it, tell us. I will write a comment to that reactor telling him or her to not view it and I will do so with words surrounded with love. No lie. Not kidding.
The cover is great of course but I think original is WAY better. Too much anxiety, too much emotions, too much power , expression in Jordan ... This is christian song - and you can sing in such a style if you are not convinced in your belief and have your doubts and sins and etc. Original version of Daigle is calmer , but here is inner strength and maturity by the person who long time has given up her life to God and are in peace and harmony with her choice.
To you I say .... those without sin cast the first stone! For you to judge someone's devotion by the way this song is sang is to devalue her faith in God ! Do you think he favors one over the other? Please let me know! Go Angelina !!!!

Also, while she definitely poured in the emotion like she always does to get us to feel the song, she was in other ways quite restrained (minimal riffing and running, for example). She chose the song for a Christmas show and sung it for us that way because she respects the message of "You Say" and wants it to shine through. Beautiful song sung respectfully and gorgeously.
You are putting in the same bag the interpretation of a 15-year-old artist who is spectacular in an incredible concert for her age with the interpretation of the original...you don't understand anything. Your spiritual rigidity does not allow you to enjoy the growth of a star like Angelina. I feel sorry for you.
Thank you thank you thank you Ron. Due to a pc issue I didn't record this song from the concert and have regretted it from the moment the last note finished. Now I can watch and listen to it again. The low registers she hits in this are out of this world, imho this and "I'm still holding out for you" are her greatest covers and probable number one hits in their own right that most likely will never be officially published and the world would be a sadder place if this is taken down.
I paid my way into the Christmas party and love this version of the song. The message expressed with such fervor, makes me think of her performance of "Shield" and the deep message that she shared with the world. This old man looks forward to all the chills, tears, and joyful memories that are to come.
IMO this video and all the others are seeds being planted all over the world. With out doubt, the fruit from this planting will be enormous, for years to come. Too get bent out of shape over this issue is pointless and cast a shadow over AJ's incredible generosity. She would not be happy reading some of these comments.

The only thing i will say is that it is sad that AJ did not release this performance because it is one of her best performances and when it aired at that Christmas concert, i cried listening. It was everything i wanted to hear and then some ❤️
I cried most of that concert 😢 😭 it was a Christmas gift from my husband. He, too, is an Angel-ina angel, but he has no choice. That's all I really listen to... I agree with Ron Crans's statement, I also believe music is from the soul of the performer sharing their love of meaningful lyrics. Angelina has a spiritual connection with and for her grandmother along with her family. This song represents the everyday struggle and efforts to get free from restraint and stress, which everyone experiences to some degree in search of help. God Knowns we all could use a helping hand. My help came went I discover Angelina Jordan, who is my gardening Angel. Her soulful voice penetrated my heart and soul, lifting my spirits out of deep depression. I believe in God's helping hand comes in different forms, music is one and prayer is the other., Just Believe and find Help!
