I'm a Rome-based writer and food tour host, hope that you'll be inspired to join me on a Food Tour in Italy!! I've been reporting on all sorts of good stuff from this city for the last 30 years. I've contributed to all the big magazines, newspapers and sites during that time, and have written nine books including: Eating Rome, Eating My Way Through Italy and The Italian Table. I write an award winning blog and I make videos. Which I hope you'll enjoy!
For more information please visit my blog, Elizabeth Minchilli (the link is below) and I'd love it if you followed me around on social media. I'm mostly on Instagram and TikTok.
I can imagine youre the type of yan key to argue with people on facebook groups about how you are italian because a distant relative has a house in italy that will never be yours and the distant relative isnt even related lol
Thanks for taking the time to share this awesome video...... I had no idea that tomato paste was made this manner. I'm making it myself at home but the American way LOL
I use the Molini del Ponte Sicilian flour in my pizza dough, but I haven’t quite perfected the recipe. There are several different types, and also variations between batches. Bonci probably makes his dough the way my ma’aw made her buttermilk biscuits: by look and feel; no measuring.
The drained tomatoe water contains a huge amount of sugars, acids and flavour so the paste will be only half as tasty as it could be. Usually you would cook the raw paste for hours or days so that the water evaporates but all the sugars and flavor been kept in the paste.
I’ve just discovered your channel and WOW! I feel like I have been smuggled into the back door of the kitchen to learn secrets the other kids never get to know about ❤.
Ofc it is 🙄 mutton is old sheep meat an lamb is young sheep meat. It's not rocket science. Also, it would have taken you like 4 seconds to Google it instead of just commenting and looking like an idiot.
I have a book The Tuscan Year by Elizabeth Romer. It is about Sylvana Cerotti and their lice near Cortona. I enjoyed the book so much, reread it again. Is this that Sylvana? If it is, thanks for privilege of meeting you this way! From South Africa.
