They have to stop limiting our freedom in what we can do in the game. whats that about scheduling a siege?bruh…. We have to be able to do what we want …..
I like you man, I really do. And I know you’re not moving on from Pax Dei, but I do hope one day you reconsider and move to something more realistic for your channel.
Mainframe doesn't understand anything about community interaction. They keep sinking deeper and deeper. People are getting fed up. I'm talking about people who are passionate about the game. People who keep making an effort to keep their clans active, creating their own content and working with the limited mechanics of the game. Mainframe wake up. You still have time.
I find this post very interesting, but honestly, I'm not surprised at all. This project is a massive technical challenge, just like EVE Online was in its early days. We're really witnessing a true test of tech for the gaming industry. Will they succeed? I’m not sure. When EVE first launched, and I’m talking about a much older and less complex engine compared to Unreal 5, it already faced significant issues with player congestion, especially when too many players were fighting in the same area. For those familiar with EVE back then, we used to have battles with 200 or 300 players, and even that would turn into a lag fest. Over time, CCP developed their servers, and eventually, we were able to fight with over 1,000, then 2,000 players. Eventually, they introduced time dilation for massive battles with over 7,000 or 8,000 players, though the time delay was almost unbearable. In my opinion, Mainframe Industries should focus on delivering solid, polished content, like territory control with nodes, similar to how EVE allocates computing power. However, they should also limit the number of players in the same zone during events like sieges. For example, if the server allows, cap it at 200 players. As of 2024, with current technology, it’s impossible to have 500 players in Unreal 5 fighting in the same area. We all dream about it, but it’s simply not feasible. Instead of trying to tackle an insurmountable challenge, Mainframe should make sure they can deliver a smooth experience with 100-200 players in a siege, and maybe implement a zone restriction system. For instance, if one player dies, another can join in, ensuring a fluid experience. In short, they should focus on creating mechanics that are achievable with today's technology. "good job Demone. "👌
I love pushing the boundaries of the building system. I had a major 3 plot explosion last month where a lot of main support pillars were destroyed past the first pillar that touched the ground. Still working with the devs on the cause. I feel like just my build has 100k pieces and i’m sure they look at my massive building that is supported by a single pillar with 100+ lights on top and cry.
What the hell are they replicating that requires 30mb of data. This isn't a voxel game, there is absolutely no need for that amount of data in this game.
Had some faith in this game up until this point but now your updates are kind of just helping most people not waste their time with this game in my opinion opposite effect still helpful tho I guess lol
Another disappointment. I see the chances of a sandbox are decreasing. BTW a large-scale battle is a 2000 vs 2000 battle. A 100 vs 100 battle is a small skirmish.
Also it seems that information update time is starting to be consistent. Every Friday at 8am EST seems to be when all the new content drops. Set your alarms for next Friday at 8am EST where we hopefully get the announcement we are looking for.
All of what you said versus what actually happened is far apart from anything. Basically they are highlighting nothing at this point a feature needs to be a feature and they are trying to showcase a half-baked tweak in a game. If you say combat is fluid it is suppose to mean combat is better compared to any other. They've shown this video combat is still shit nothing proven because it is still incomplete. You need to check what you tryna say and I get how hopeful we can be I can relate to that this game is only showing potential but that's about it at this time. PURE POTENTIAL nothing proved about combat. Still, I too am hopeful of what you are trying to say about getting that free fighting style unlike what New world has I personally hate the attack animations in that game in my honest opinion Valheim has better mechanics in combat compared to that overly hyped game.
it seems like another game that you have to shoot someone with 1.5 mags to kill sorry if i hit something with a 2 handed axe it should be a 1.5 hit kill time to kill needs work and for god sake give us a dodge
Let them make a NORMAL directional combat system and don't try anything tricky. Because they want to stand out, but it doesn't work out for them and it won't work out. It's a waste of money on this game, just like Myth of Empire or Soul mask
I admire your enthusiasm, but in my opinion, it is unjustified. Maybe you have some additional knowledge that supports it, but your viewers don't have that. So it seems like you're talking about your dreams as if they have already been implemented in the game the way you'd like to see them. I have to admit that for me, such a message is very discouraging. First, it raises unrealistic expectations about the game, and second, it undermines the credibility of what you're saying. I'm wondering if it's worth continuing to watch your videos, because while I always enjoy watching reliable commentary, I see no point in watching someone's dream reports.
@@CruelCrusader90 I haven't followed him for that long, but there is a huge difference between criticism and hate. Currently, there are a lot of haters, which could be a problem for the game in the future. However, the current stage of development deserves a lot of criticism, and excessive optimism is just as, if not more, harmful than hate.
Funny to see how people ditch the game with out knowing anything about it and based on how many play the game at the moment. Me and many like my self love the game but we dont play it at the moment because we are waiting for uppdate. Also its en early, EA and when it lunch it will a be a clean start for everyone, so for some like my self i dont want to spend all my time there when all will be erased at launch of the game. There is no reason so far to say that they will not deliver on what they have said so dont get all the negativity, its not based on what the devs have said to the communety so far, this will be the first uppdate on combat and its a work in progress. What they have implementert in the game so far has a huge potential and there is nothing so far that shows that they will not live up to that. If they deliver, and i dont see way not this game will be in leage of its own. I have thousens of houers in NEW World, testet TL and TL, sorry but its just not up there, New World could be but the combat is gone and no content.
appreciate your enthusiasm towards PD. Don't listen to those players that say to work on hyped games; clearly they don't understand what EA means. It doesn't seem like a lot of people understand what EA really is. It is not the actual game but the development of a game. Those that are saying not enough players are playing and what not clearly don't know what they re talking about. Keep doing you man and keep making his game better.
Dude we are saying stop playing pax for his own good I couldn’t care less about what happens to this shitty game. You clearly don’t follow his channel for long. I used to watch him during new world times which was an amazing time. I just want him to be in a good position as a channel and we all saw that he can be an amazing content creator.
This game looks horrible, and several players complain about its floaty combat. Might as well just play Enshrouded, New World, TL and not waste time w this game
@@Manuoeoeoeoeoe yea but we care enough about him not to spend his last few dollars on a (soon to be) subscription based game that's trash. lol jokes aside, everyone in comments rather him hold the devs accountable instead of brown nosing.
My man please drop this game and start with throne and liberty videos to catch on the hype. No one cares about this game there is like 500 players on steam I don't know why you are locked so much on this game.
@@LatoTheMMOVeteran my man nobody plays this game you don't even need stats to know that. 500 for steam means nobody in steam cares about the game. Which tells you a lot.
@@barncagkanyldrm4618 Nobody is playing this game because it hasn't been released yet and isn’t finished. Right now, there are only testers on the server, so you could say very few people are interested in further testing Pax Dei. That’s why I’m waiting for the announced major update. Maybe then there will be new things to test, and interest in testing the game will return. If not, it doesn't matter to me. As long as the game is fun and I don’t have an alternative, I can be the only person on the server. However, AoC alpha starts in a month, and then I’ll see which one is better.
@@LatoTheMMOVeteran What do you mean hasn't released it is on steam and up for sale. Many games start as early access nowadays and if they are good many people play them it has nothing to do with it being early acces or not.
this is just animations at this point , there is no "system" i havent seen it here. new world was stam based , i suppose they could go stam based blocking system instead of dodge but they have to slow the animations way down to make that work. Idk what thier gonna do , but its quite the leap to say it going to be a good system , when thiers no principals to see, nothing
Look Ima just say , this looks like total dog water they downloaded off the unreal store , if you can show us the combat lead and look at thier experience Then Maybe , but that combat lead hasn't displayed any kind of pvp combat system knowledge just in these clips and the pve and pvp has to be one in the same
Just wait ladies and gents. I would LOVE to sink my life into this BUT it’s not ready. 100 hours and that was pushing it. Nothing to do besides be BOB the builder.
The appearance of characters means nothing to me. That's a topic for the game's release. At this stage, all enemies could look the same and only differ in name. When I see info that developers are working on character appearances, I start to worry because that means they're not working on the important stuff. What matters is enemy behavior, the combat system, the economy, and many, many other things we're still waiting for.
If they wipe, they loose the players who have stuck around and kept building and grinding out crafting levels. The ones who bounced will bounce again in a few weeks and the ones who stuck around will not want to grind out all those mats for the grindy crafting levels. Higher crafting levels are so slow and you end up making more than even a large clan can use for a single level
I dont see how combat coding update would have any efffect on houseing plots and all the stuff we have been gathering to prep for next content ...(that you advised us to push / gather ) If they wipe us and keep our skills... why would i go back to killing lv12-20 mobs at small encampents if i'm lv 41 in skills i'll be heading straight to lv 5 temples.. I would advise to make all characters on your account ready to load up and store your best items ... If they do a wipe i fear it will be the end of Pax Dei for alot of people ...
Yea, didn't anticipate and entire combat system upgrade, figured they'd just add a dodge lazily and keep focusing on features. But sometimes, it's great being wrong.
@@DemoneKim With all do respect sir, the video listens like a word salad that desperately tries to link two completely separate systems, combat and building. What is problematic is that you are representing, at least tacitly, that you have "inside info", while making an obviously spurious argument that plot wipes probably "need to happen". But you never make a coherent case for why. What do some QoL changes to combat and nameplates have to do with our plots? What does testing the functionality of these new systems have to do with our plots? Mainframe did an extremely light-handed plot cleanup that removed 7% of the plots according to you, why not incrementally raise again while they gussy up the placeholder combat system and update some 3d assets. Save a plot wipe for when people start duping or there needs to be for an upgrade to building 2.0.
