This is nothing like the regular Macanudo cigars. Dark ash and horrible construction. You can tell the truth from the negative reviews on JR cigars. I really regret buying ten tins of it.😢
I swear by the shovel head. It is the only razor I use. I like that it is smooth and very audible. I find it semi aggressive. SE’s forever. Are use still using a SE razor. This is a 4 year old video.
I know this video is old, but hi Jim. I recently started enjoying cigars and I tried these Macanudo ascots, unfortunately for me I don't care much for them. I found them to be bitter and the aftertaste for me was unpleasant. I do like the smaller cigars and these seem to be decently constructed although a few from my pack had very uneven burn. Anyway, I hope you're doing well if you see this comment.
Was just smoking one of these with you. I find myself smoking these Ascots more and more with my tight schedule. Perfect for walking the dog or in between picking up the kids. Thanks for the entertaining review man!
Whiskey Woods is missing something. I don't hate it, but if I could use music analogies....it's like all bass with no treble. It needs a thin line of something tart or spiky at the top end. Lol, obviously I don't know how to describe it. Much prefer Clubman original. I'm going to try their citrus based scents, probably more to my liking.
@@diverbelow27 Oh yes, I have it and love it! And the lime sec has gotten heavy use too. It's great as a splash after washing up. And it's gone quick so it doesn't interfere with cologne. Great stuff.
I agree with your take, very good product just bought a tin yesterday and it was the perfect situation with two friends that were down for a cigar at the pool, one had never smoked one before so its the perfect size, tastes great for a great time :-)))
@@RA-lh9uh - I'd say it lasts pretty long. It depends how much you put on. It may seem like it wears off quickly, but you're probably just getting used to the scent.
Great review. My only complaint is the scent doesn't last long. I'd love to see them come out with an EDT to match these, especially the Gin and Brandy!
Gents gin= mild soapy weak scent, does not last, and does NOT smell like gin so don’t worry. No one in a million years will be able to pick out scent notes from smelling you.
I have been using and collecting Pinaud Clubman for years. I just recently bought the Whiskey Woods aftershave. It’s a bit too strong for my taste, also dries the skin a bit too much. It isn’t bad. My all time favorite is probably Lilac Vegetal. Other than Pinaud, Florida Water is incredible.
Thank you Sir! I just saw these on a website and searched them. Perfect review. I will go for the Whiskey Woods and after i will get the Gin one. Cheers!
Dude this is the first time that I watch shaving and aftershave video's and I gotta say, I love you style! Very relaxing and you clearly know what you are talking about. Perfect video's for people like me who enjoy a good (after)shave and want to know what to buy, without having to dive into it as deep as you have. Thanks a lot!
I work at a barber supply store and I love sneaking a whiff of these aftershaves whenever I get the chance. Gent's Gin is personally my favourite (especially since it's summer right now). Virgin Island Bay Rum is my favourite cold season one though.
Chris Cartwright have tried Bootleggers Bay Rum? It's equal parts VIBR, Master Bay Rum, and Superior 70 Bay. I blended some up and put it in hot sauce bottles that I purchased on ebay. The Master adds some great skin feel, the Superior 70 kicks the bay up a notch, and the blend mellows the spice notes of the VIBR but it still has good lasting scent. It's one of my favorite bay rum aftershaves.
