This lady must be experiencing double misery. Not only is all the pollen of springtime making her nose go crazy with endless sniffles and sneezes, she also must feel bad about ruining a special time with her man. That is one of the worst parts of hayfever - not only does it make you miserable, but trying to be around other people who don't have allergies is tough too. Having to explain allergies to people who think you might be contagious is necessary, but gets annoying quickly. At least she didn't sneeze all over him when things were about to get passionate.
I was an adult when this commercial ran and I immediately noticed that Punchy said “you TASTE 7 kinds of fruit”, which technically is true. Of course you’re tasting only a tiny amount of these fruit, which is overwhelmed by 90% sugar and corn syrup.
It was very unusual for a car , but AMC did take a shot when gm had the Vega, Monza, and Chrysler was very deep into crickets and Plymouth arrows. I had 1 new domestic car and the Dodge Shadow was very disappointing. Now a drive a vw Jetta. A way better car.

Part of the reason he got the baseball play by play gig was these commercials. Chrysler was a big NBC sponsor and they put the pressure on the network to have their guy do baseball
It didn’t happened until February 24, 1982 when Pepto Bismol was finally purchased by Procter & Gamble. Shown on both print ads and television commercials in the USA, Canada and around the world. Its wonderful slogan: “Pepto Bismol: The one that coats is the only one you need.”
Question: what is that woodwind instrument being played? It was a popular sound on many 70s commercials, usually toys and bread. Is it an Oriental bamboo flute? A Native American flute? A pan flute? It is not deep and mellow enough to be a clarinet, oboe, or bassoon. Is it a wooden recorder?
