I had this same problem, in my main.js the "fetch(functionAPI)" had a squiggle under the first part despite it being spelled correctly, I just deleted it and rewrote it and it worked fine
I keep getting this error when entering func host start No job functions found. Try making your job classes and methods public. If you're using binding extensions (e.g. Azure Storage, ServiceBus, Timers, etc.) make sure you've called the registration method for the extension(s) in your startup code (e.g. builder.AddAzureStorage(), builder.AddServiceBus(), builder.AddTimers(), etc.). Haven't been able to get past it and I've been looking on Microsoft and stackflow can't find the solution

The 2 problems I see with Azure is Microsoft's licensing of IAS makes it cheaper not to use Azure services and just move VM's over where the customer manages the OS. Azure lacks reliability regions and has had several outages. AWS is still ahead as a result. Copilot may in the near future change things but all the cool custom hardware for AI is only available on AWS including quantum chips. Very cloud features like paas and reliability AWS is still king
I had an interview yesterday and the hiring manager told me I got every answer wrong. The last question that ended the interview was "how do you secure a subnetwork". My answer was you would use a NSG. Then I explained how it worked. He asked how do you do this and I explained how you would attach the NSG to the subnetwork or a nic. He asked me what was a nic was. I explained that to him. He asked me if I were saying NSGs had deny rules. i said yes they do. What am I missing here?
It took a couple of days but I finally completed this. I ran into a ton of issues but was able to work it out by going through the MS docs and documenting the solutions in the readme. Now on to the next project.

When you created the VM, is there any reason why you didn't create the NSG for the Subnet rather then for the NIC of the VM? I think Microsoft recommends the subnet rather then the NIC? Thoughts?

No because the many Microsoft certifications has changed their exams. For example Azure Solutions Architect Expert contain only one exam since 2023 - AZ-305
