Nice to see how you placed them to protect other crops from presumably rabbits. I will try your idea next year. This year I started Walla Walla onions from seed outside mid May (Zone 5) and they are tennis ball sized now (8/26). I did err in planting some too close.
It is my first time on your channel and I have just subscribed. Such a nice potato harvest 😊Thank you so much for sharing. Keep up the good work. All the best on this journey.
@@leekent3325 That's a bummer. You never know what's going to work! My sunflowers got completely eaten this year. Not one flower out of dozens planted!
What an amazing haul! You did way better than us this year. I like your nice relaxing music and birds in the background. Well done and thanks for sharing!
Do you know what you're going to do with them all? I'm drying the biggest, freezing the middle sized, and maybe canning the pearl-sized... Still deciding.
Hi there I am new to your channel and I am looking forward to seeing your videos. Your garden is doing great! I have been harvesting quite a lot this past couple of weeks. First time in 4 years that I was successful with garlic.
Use the green ones for next year's crop. They have a toxic compound in them because they've been exposed to the sunlight. Next time, build up the dirt around the base of your plants as they grow...just a bit, so your spuds (potatoes) don't go green. Well done!! Great harvest!! Have fun exploring the amazing recipes for your spuds. Try gnocchi...it's fun for the kids to try & you can use them with your spaghetti sauce you make from your amazing haul of tomatoes (hopefully!) Happy gardening! 🥰 Jen. Australia. 💕🙏🏻🕊️💕
Thanks Jen! I love the gnocchi idea! I'm actually surprised I don't have ALL green ones, since I had so little time to work out there this spring. I will definitely try to stay on top of the hilling up next year!
I never dreamed you would come back to Indiana. I just wish you were closer so i could visit. I also wish I had your energy & green thumb. I really like your Lilac Vlog & all you share.
BJ, I never stopped dreaming of coming back to Indiana. I missed it every day of the 13 years we were in Texas. When the Lord allowed us to come back, my heart couldn't comprehend His kindness. I don't know why I'm so in love with this place, but I am!
