DR. Walter C. Cooper - Embued my son with such a passion for education. He has never forgotten you! In fact he won Rep.D Gantt's BHM essay contest writing about the incredible journey that is your life. You have made an impression wherever you have gone. Hallmark moments mark every year - thank you for your excellence. - I am a proud parent of the first graduating class of the Dr. Walter C. Cooper - School # 10
My condolences go out to this young man's family! Unfortunately, this type of situation happens far too often in our (African-American) communities. I often wonder what our Ancestors would think of us killing one another. Our elders had to battle the KKK & racist mobs and to know today that we're killing each other at exorbitant rates is seriously disturbing.
I knew Margey years ago, before she married, when I was Jude/ Judy Roland. She's a creative dynamo and so hilarious. Love her. I would like to get back in touch, but have long ago lost her email address. If she has a website or something where I could find a way to contact her (I am not on FB, but my new husband Keith Irwin is), I would love to re-establish correspondence with her. Margey - love your new work; good luck with all you do. Hope we can get back in touch!
I was in a movie that Ben filmed in Rochester a few years back. He produced a movie named "Fritz", Ben had great camera experience, filming and editing. But he seemed shy of self promotion, social media. I think the movie could have gone further if he changed promotion and marketing procedures.
We used to play this in the car on trips, it's a wonderful learning, memory etc game while often funny and always fun. My Pop would usually start it in the car while going on a trip. We would all love it as kids and even complain but ultimately tremendously enjoy the game. You'd have to win to be the one who got to be the "thinker" and went around the room until someone picked the Animal. Great fun!
