His attitude might be what’s holding him back. Last year he wasn’t even selected for NZ 15. That can’t be based off just his play and 2 diff coaching camps hating him.
@@Lesssvav He's given certain leeway in the Blues (which, let's be honest, has proven to be a winning formula) that the ABs unfortunately aren't willing to grant him.
In that 2003 WC final I thought Flatley out played Wilkinson. Kept Oz in it into extra time whereas England performance was more down to the other England greats. That said Wilkinson got them to the final and deserved everything he won.
That's England's best side ever against a very green ABs team. 4 years later Ma'a couldn't even make the WC side to France. Graham Henry fluffed around for years and we lost games we never should have. And then they gave him another go at it. Old boys club at their best. He even got selections wrong in the '11 WC but scraped home on the bones of his arse. And then they knighted him.
Jac is special he’s gonna go some huge places sad to see him missing the South Africa game hope he gets better soon. Never seen a player have such a dominant debute season go into World Cup as captain and do as well as we did with the team available big ups Jac

England's first victory on NZ soil since 1973. All Black debuts for Ma'a Nonu, Mils Muliaina and Joe Rokocoko. Dan Carter and Brad Thorn were also on debut but didn't make it onto the pitch.
If Lomu had been Welsh, and based on this perrformance, the WRU wouldn't have given him a second cap. "He's too big to play on the wing, more like a 2nd rower isn't he?"
Jonah Lomu was obviously one of the greatest players. But I still think it was reckless by the All Black selectors to have him debut on the wing at an international level. The All Blacks lost this series convincingly and it was the French who dominated out wide against some flawed defensive play. This blunder by the selectors could have ended a lesser players career before it started.
