A good turnout of hardy souls, I bet that water was cold I managed to see and film 100's of swimmers yesterday too, as they braved the icy waters at Whitley Bay. The water was f f f freezing.
The number plate on the Mercedes bears the legend "King of Tory" in Ulster Gaelic. This looks to be a reference to Patsaí Dan Mac Ruaidhrí (1944-2018).
Quite a crowd joining in, probably a fair number more than there were at my local New Year's Day swim, at Whitley Bay. At least the sun was shining, although that doesn't mean the water is warm.
