My name is Alain Douce. Since my childhood I was fascinated by The Shadows sound. Times were hard then and to get some kind of guitar sound, my brother and I fixed nylon strings on a wooden piece of wood glued to a tin box ! that was our first "guitar” . Many years later, gathering all her savings, my late mum offered us an Egmond acoustic guitar. I will be forever be thankful to her for giving us the opportunity to enjoy our passion. In the 70's I created my own band, animating wedding , birthday, hotel parties. It all ended due to professional reasons. My guitar remained silent for more than 30 long years. Some months ago, my son offered me a Squier guitar for my birthday. The passion sparkled right away.
I thank my grandchildren for encouraging me upload videos to RU-vid and my wife for her patience in listening over and over to the same tune during my practising.
