There's something special about these drums, how they come in and out of focus on different hits. Very unique! I also like the acoustic feel of this. It sounds like a band playing together with all the dynamic variation. Nice one!
I just built one of these. It's a great module but it should be made clearer in the instruction (and this video) that outputs 3 and 6 should be oriented 180 degrees to 2 and 5 and that they share a ground pad. This is quite unusual and should be made explicit. I soldered mine in the wrong way and had to add some jumper wires. It works. But it's ugly.
Dig small systems, yours is interesing as well! What is doing the snare sound? Love it's timber and tightness. Also compression does cool pumping effect with what sounds like power hum =)
