The way the gas regulator is stored in the stove it moves around and knocks the ignitor on the right side burner which just bends it out of distance, got it replaced and i just keep the regulator seperate now. So if you get one just a hint to keep it separate 👍
bought one today, cant wait to set it up tomorrow, i did hear in another review that the leaking was coming from some of the stitching inside the bag, could you see if that might be the case? if so i might try and fix that issue before putting the awning on my ute. cheers
Hey mate, you are correct im pretty sure its the stitching just above where the zipper is that leaks (along with the brackets area), ive just never gotten around to sealing it properly haha, some silicone spray should fix it though
Sorry Mate didnt see your comment! You need to have two mounts at the back and the other one had a set distance from the front of the awning, currently ive got one at the very back and one about half a metre (maybe more) from the front of it. Probs shouldnt mount on both the tub and cab as they flex/sway individually with the chassis so you typically dont mount across them both. The tub canopy should be long enough to throw two at the back and one as far forward as you can maybe? But otherwise ive only got one at the back and its held fine over 6 months. Hope this helps mate👍👍
Notwithstanding the over-stuffed nature of the bag, you can probably make the zip run easier with a regular spray of WD40 Silicon, Works a treat on my Dune roll-out awning.
I initially bought 2 walls with mine. First time out with it we camped for about 10 days. First night we copped torrential rain which created rivers underneath the car and awning. I was so glad I bought the 2 walls for the shelter they provided. They also kept the afternoon/evening sun off us. The kids have swags which they set up under the walls without taking away general room under the awning. Just last week I bought the last two walls, including the one with the door. (the 4 walls end up costing more than the awning....) The 4 walls don't fit as well as just the two. They're not quite wide enough to pull out without distorting the other walls. I found I had to let them sag a lot more to keep them straight. Also the wall with the door only has the zipper on one side so it can only be positioned next to the passenger door. I was considering getting 2 to create a cross breeze when set up. If I had I would have had to return one of them. Over all though, the awning is pretty impressive.
Yeah the time that i used both of the walls it poured down everywhere but my swag was perfectly dry underneath them all. But yeah i ended up not getting more walls as i very rarely used them, might start using them more on this car since they didnt line up too well on my old prado with the wagon door at the back
Thank you for this Dane, I was suffering from depression, anxiety, hepatitis A, B, and C, epilepsy, small man syndrome, and explosive diarrhoea. By posting this review of the Kings 270 Freestanding Awning I have been cured all of all ailments I previously had, and I need to thank you because my the bank called and told me that my mortgage was forgiven and my wife has come back with our 8 kids and I de-aged to the point that I look 20 years younger. All because of the kings 270 Freestanding Awning. 🙏🙏🙏
