Just Watched.......a video on TV ---- the Cooking Channel............sorry but by the looks of the grossly dirty floors & the machines wow....look like they got the same burnt on crust of goo on them since the factory opened..................Ill Pass
I am hoping this some sort of a spoof filmed for a comedy show. If not....The intro aside which should give you an idea whats to come. This is one of the worse served meals I have seen in a fully operational kitchen, instant potatoes? (aka potato flavored crap), you chose pork tenderloin.... the leanest parts on a pig? Frozen to ready= dry as shit. I would not have even posted such a disaster and those sailors deserve better food in fact the Navy prides itself in making the best food. I have seem better food come out of field kitchens.
The Navy only has a hand full of shore based galleys. Should have prepared it aboard ship. Totally different environment. Boot Camp food was awful compared to Destroyer chow, at least in-port. In the Indian Ocean everything is frozen or dried. That's when things get interesting.
Those of you from Chicago and are familiar with this dish, I must tell you all that Sonic is insulting your hotdog. The Chicago Dog at Sonics is absolutely disgusting!
PRE-MADE FOOD VS. COOKED & BAKED FROM SCRATCH?? 1. Whose food taste the best, Army, Air Force, Navy, or Coast Guard?? 2. I've noticed from watching these vids, alot of the food is pre-made. Which of the branches does N-O-T make pre-made food, but cooks & bakes from scratch?? 3. Do all of the branches teach u how to BAKE from scratch??
ketchup go on french fries... ketchup has no place on a hotdog..... there is a hotdog place in chicago that does not even have ketchup on the premises... ( can't think of the name) but the owner does not allow it. if it has ketchup it's not a real chicago dog...nuff said !
