Great lap! Is this the exact set up at SCCA time trial max 2 class? I am on stock power but other mods are similar. I wonder if my car can run same class in Max 2. Thanks
Thanks for info. How many day you think can get out of it compare to 3R ? 3R won't last more than 2 event on my gt350, how about in your M ? Similar weight
I'm kind of an outlier, I was able to get 5-6 days out of 3Rs, but I usually run just half of my 20 min sessions and only go 10/10ths for the first 2-3 laps. I feel like I would be able to get the same amount of days out of the RE71RS.
@@ChinTrack that’s amazing looks like heat management is the key. But that make sense if you only push push less than 5 minute. What’s your alignment setting at ?
Reason for going for the M4 was that I wanted to just have a one car garage, and I knew the M4 Comp xDrive would be a very track capable and daily/all weather car. I expected it to be slower on track due to the weight, and I don't have plans to mod it like crazy like I did with the Supra. Really miss having full track suspension and aero on track. The tuned Supra just has so much more low end torque than the M4, although top end speed is about the same on the straight. But biggest difference between M4 and the Supra, I can get on full throttle a lot earlier thanks to the more linear torque curve and the xDrive AWD.
@@ChinTrack thanks for the quick review and makes sense. for what little it may be worth, i think you're balancing fun with practicality in one of the best ways. keep driving!
@@herrickhuang2005 dude whats the point of lying about mods? a stock supra traps about 112-117 depending on year. A 6th gen Viper traps at about 129. and a Viper does the front straight at about 148-150 on the straight at the Ridge. so if your "stock" Supra is just 2mph short of that its not stock, its not making up 15mph on a Viper between 115 and 150...
Great lap. I think you could have gone even faster if the GT3 wasn't in front of you haha. What other modifications do you have? Camber plates? Springs or suspension? 275 square setup or staggered? What is the car making on that E30 tune you were running?
Justin Lee yes, and it worked fine since the plate impact area are well inside 7.5ft. If you are a worlds strongest man competitor and often have the plates loaded up to the end of the bar then it may be a problem lol.

@@vaasmontenegro9494 the best price I found was 3k under MSRP still you maybe can buy now the Camaro LT1 with the Tremec transmmsion or the 10 speed auto for 30K if you negotiate the price.
@@goesfastandfar Problem is finding a GT350 with the Recaros. The few that I can find all have the silly comfort package. For those of us who'd want to actually drive these things, Recaros are a must.
@@corrieb74 Totally agree; Recaros go on a GT350, not those bulky leather La-Z-Boys. I've seen some (few) with the proper seats, but most do not. They're out there, keep looking.
All that doesn't matter if you're not tracking or abusing the car. If you're just driving it normal, spirited driving, it's just wasting money. ASE certified Honda tech here.
Nice, glad you made that one work. Have the same one for my CRX. Personally thinking about going with the Radium dual can set up for my Type R. Those rear cans keep the valves clean but there are still vent lines in the front. If you can fit another can in the front you’d be 100% set I think.
