Here we'll chat about Science fiction and futuristic tech, mages wielding power beyond belief, post-apocalyptic landscapes, and gruesome murders, all written by authors who just won't shut up.
To date, I've interviewed over 70 authors, and until I find out what makes them successful, I'm not going to stop.
Communicating constantly with spiritual beings ... relatives or anyone. They're not your Creator, The Creator. John 15:26 is The Way. The Relationship with God, your Creator, The Creator, needs to be a person's goal in this life - traveling alongside God is important to assure a best path in our eternal journey.
Actually no we are too obsessed with love and tolerance. Its hate as a virtue that we need to rediscover. Not enough hate for evil, evil doers and those who threaten what we ought love.
Your interview definitely whet my appetite! I can't wait to read Darrell Epp's latest book! All of his previous poetry collections have the stellar track record of being immersive, resonant and singularly captivating! Take my money!
This guy doesn't pay out the authors who publish through them and withholds information regarding sales and publishing distribution. Be super careful in trusting this guy. He is a fraud!
Exactly It's crazy to me how In their own narrative people are that they think they are the only person experiencing injustice and hardship in the world.
@samuelmire9389 Agreed; everyone has their own struggles! Some people's struggles are objectively larger than other people's struggles, but each person's largest struggle is still the hardest thing they've ever encountered from their own perspective. We need to learn to be empathetic toward them. Also, how we handle our own struggles is what can define us.
I've heard of that 'light edit previous chapter, then write next one' approach from others. That's not something I'll often do, but I can see how it works for certain writers.
I'm definitely more of a plotter than a pantser, with an outline that I follow with a little pantsing in between. That being said, two of my favorite scenes were completely off-book seat of the pants. But like you, I do a lot of the prewriting in my mind on walks.
Plotting is definitely important for a well-paced book, but you never know what's gonna happen if you give yourself full creative control in the moment!
I love this kind of thing. The blending of author's work passions into Sci-Fi writing. I read an indie book (soft sci-fi) called Engaged at Dawn, which was written by a 20 year veteran of the Coast Guard, and was about a cutter doing drug interdiction and finding aliens. No mainstream publisher would pitch or buy that, but indie is able. I've been interested in ants, and now am writing a serial called Space Ants, (audio released serials on my channel) which is a zero-tech biological novella.
Agreed--we're certainly not living in a utopia now. Any future utopia will need to be purposefully constructed by Humanity, or we'll end up as just another metric in the fermi paradox.
As someone whose seen stuff teleporting and beaming off at the speed of light with my own eyes… I’d have to say that the tech is already here… and in our universe we can teleport, and beam vehicles off at the speed of light.. so the electron theory is probably a fact and not just a theory.
They have tech now that can beam messages into your head using your own senses. A long with, teleporting and beaming off at light.. forgot to mention that… someone or something has some crazy technology right now, somewhere on this planet. I’m hearing Alaska and Antarctica has some bases in the mountains, along with the ocean off the west coast of America. Also people coming out on Shawn Ryan Show. All I’m saying is, it’s either us (America) or it’s “aliens.” But it’s here rn and it’s here to stay 100%.
Climate catastrophe…. ? Given the extreme ends the earth’s climate has been through… the climate has been relatively stable for 10;000 years, minus the few years in the dark ages. The dark ages were a climate catastrophe, the past 900 years have been nice.
Do you think it would be better to have the "about the author" later in the podcast, or do you think that having chapters on the video would work as well, so you could skip if you want? Thanks for the feedback, always looking to improve!
I mean, they say to write what you know! Either I need to pick up some more hobbies, or I'm just gonna be writing about reading books and playing video games >.<
Thanks not only for the interview, but now for the book show-and-tell as well! Boy I really need to work on my penmanship though!! 📖🖊 Hope you enjoy!! ~JWG
