If I wanted a pcp for occasional hunting. This would be extremely hard to beat. The cost and effort would be minimal and the performance is great. That would keep me from having the high investment of traditional PCPs. This is assuming Iam new to the pcp world, without the equipment to fill one. Alot of people don't shoot over 500 round in a year. Looking at it from that perspective, it's a cheap way to go. Around $100 bucks (10 nitro cylinders) for a year of shooting. I think it's a excellent idea.

your big mistake here is the break barrel will loose quality over time due to wearing or loose tightness at the barrel hinge. To be real you should test guns that had fired at least 50K shoots.

@pyramydair lol i start with a laugh this morning. I have to so I can retain my sanity. Many years in this hobby of ours and sport. It never fails that the skeptics and "experts" come out in force to beat down anything new or innovative. I like the idea of the gun for convenience around the house when i dont feel like grabbing one of my expensive heavy ass pcp's. Like many i can not use a firearm because, yes, i was a idiot and a time in my life and broke mans law. So, im limited to what I can use to hunt with. Yea it'd cost you over $111 to shoot through 500 pellet tin of 22 cal , 11 canisters 45 shots each. By the time you shoot 1500 pellets or 3 tins you could have afforded a cheap Chinese air compressor for right at 300.

It's not worth it to me. For $200, looking to go pcp, I'd go with Crosman 3622 or the new JTS offering(both ~$150)and get a hand pump for $40. 3600 psi is doable, I'm 50 yrs old, too. Better power, worse shot count(no regulator,but always could add in the future), but you never spend another dime except for pellets. And you have unlimited air for the future. Also, it would be a gun you could work on yourself. Not a one-piece polymer receiver. I just don't see an upside to this package.

Hello Fellow. Airgunners, Granted, it’s more expensive than CO2, but for people living in sub-freezing temps., it’s a viable option compared to a Hammerli which like all CO2 products, is temperature dependent. This is a budget friendly survival tool. Hammerli should offer the 850 Air Magnum using this technology. That’s a good Segway into my next point, the most exciting aspect of this invention to me. That is, does this mean Umarex can now apply this technology into any and all CO2 products, like all the beautiful replicas that always leave one wanting; in the performance area?Can Umarex make 12 gram versions w/Nitrogen so a replica Peacemaker can shoot like a p.c.p.? That would be game changing, especially for survivalists that can’t justify purchasing CO2 in cold climates. I can’t wait to see how far Umarex and other companies take this technology. All the bad ass replica firearms that only operate on either CO2 or Green gas, if it’s possible to re-design them using Nitrogen, that would be transformative; I would imagine with the aficionados of Western era firearms, that have yet to enjoy air gun versions that satisfy in all areas, and older chaps that would enjoy the ease of use. Big potential here; especially if the Nitrogen becomes more affordable.
@pyramydair
@pyramydair 7 часов назад
The lack of temp sensitivity is definitely a worthwhile point. Makes this an interesting gun for those that want a "prepper" tool that is ready to go when they need it without hauling pumps, tanks or compressors around. And the pistol part is interesting as well. In general, it will be interesting to see where and how this is used in the future. No doubt about that

Where I live I pay $6 to fill a 12 litre scuba tank to 4500 psi and I live inland far from any sea. Yes, I needed to buy a scuba tank. Found one used for $50 got it approved for another $120. With these gas canisters it will cost a fortune in the end so it's not a surprise that the rifle itself is on the cheap side. And I guarantee that within a year you want to replace it with a proper pcp. So from my own experience of buying cheap pcp I recommend to pay the extra money to get a something for $1000 plus. A small tip. Ask your local fire department kindly and respectfully if they would consider to fill a scuba tank for you once in a while. Many of them can consider doing so as long as your scuba tank are up to date on inspections. Most time they just take a small donation to the coffee and cake fond, works at least here in sweden.😊 First pcp Hatsan gladius. Current pcp Edgun leshiy 2.

Yet it seems simple but more expensive at the same time. I shoot 300 to 500 rounds a day ,doing pest control. that would come out to 12 cylinders a day at 11.50, that is 138 dollars a day. Not to mention pellets or lighter slugs. I do like the idea and might get one just for around the house but i see it being to expensive for a serious hunter or pester. I do like the ergonomics and design. Kudos to Umarex .but i would like to see a conversion later for a 300 or 480 cc bottle down the road( with a 250 bar fill) Or take the bottle from the Avenge X and shave off 6-8 inches from the bottle and convert it to fit the Komplete. I agree on it not being cheaper if you plan to use it a lot, but as a entry point into PCPs, I do think it's a great package right out of the box, and that is something we haven't seen for this price in the PCP world yet.

Who would want to have to buy a pcp gun that you have to keep replacing the cartridge every 40 shots? you are better of just saving and buying a hand pump or small compresser because I am pretty sure those nitrogen cartridges will add up fast. terrible idea especially when you can buy the umarex notos for $269 and a hand pump for around $200 or less or a air venture avenger for $349. What is umarex even thinking with this gun? what a waste of time money and effort to make this. and no way in hell I would take this over a break barrel air rifle I guarantee that my weihrauch HW77k will out shoot this piece of crap any day of the week. Come on man seriuously? this is the best that umarex can come up with? talk about a step backwards.

It's meant for a low-commitment entry to PCPs for someone who is on the fence but doesn't want to spend the money. It's not meant for someone who either has a compressor or pump or is ready to purchase one.

@@pyramydair Or someone who just needs to eliminate nuisance pests from their backyard or garden now and again and doesn't want to invest a lot into the more sophisticated air rifles and accessories. I think it could be considered a "niche" item, which is not a bad thing as an entry-level air rifle. No hate meant.

@@pyramydair Ya I got that from the video and I will stand behind my original comment. So lets do a little math Umarex Notos cost $269.99 air venturi hand pump $129.99 which comes out to $399.98 the umarex komplete cost $192.99 plus $22.99 per 2 pack of cartridges. which is $216.89 and you will get about roughly 80 shots before you need 2 more catridges So lets add 8 more 2 packs of cartridges which comes out to $400.81. So lets say you like to shoot 2 times a week which is at a cost of $45.98 per week for the cost of the cartridges. Well in 3 to 4 weeks you have just spent enough to buy your hand pump for the umarex Notos. and have also spent just as much as if you had just bought the Umarex Notos with a hand pump in the first place. because after 3 to 4 weeks you are now spending more and more money for the air you need to shoot this gun but if you hand just done what I said you would happily be shooting and just spending money on pellets not air and pellets. So Ya I will stand by my first comment 100%. But I get it your in the business of promoting and selling this products and others like it and not necessarily in the business of giving the best advice to the new guy trying to get into the PCP world. Because your job is to promote and sell these new and existing products. But that is my 2 cents for what it is worth to anyone that gets to see this post before it mysteriously disappears.

I’ve not tried it myself yet but I don’t think a standard 13ci regulated bottle will fit. Even if it did, you’d need a different output on that reg. But I can definitely see it coming as an add on accessory down the road to make this more appealing for existing PCP owners.

@@glenncoody I want to say it has to do with the way the cartridge is pierced which may be a part of the adapter that's attached to the gun that the cartridge screws into. Don't quote me on that. And yes, we don't have the cartridges on hand right now, but I'd anticipate them being readily available in the near future.
