Had a few questions about the product and received a call from Rob the same day. Superior customer service and the product works for clear coat damage. Won't fix damage that is too far gone as explained in several videos. This is a good product.
🤔 So if you used 800 grit, followed by 1200 grit & wet sanded before applying this Lukat product, you should get even better results according to the owner of the Company?!?
I purchased the product for my 2013 Tahoe. The roof and the hood were oxidized. Lukat definitely removed the oxidation but now the clear coat has a stain that Lukat can't remove. I now need a profession detailer to cut into the clear coat and hopefully get the stain out and the shine back. It does what is advertised but it will leave a beige stain in you paint. More work than advertised. BE CAREFUL!!!
What color is your Tahoe (white, or black)? I just purchased this product from the Co for my daughters burgundy Altima…I hope it works & doesn’t stain her paint too!?!
Mixing the Lukat fixit with the spray detailer isn’t right. You should only be using the cleaner, followed by the wax, then after that you can use a top wax from another brand. Looked like the guy in the video was just throwing everything at it in random order.
Follow instructions! Terry cloth, and they don't wet they cleaner. You can sand areas, but he does multiple covers with cleaner. You are using microfiber.
I just used the Lukat fix it and it cleaned the areas where the clear oats are gone and worked quite well, better that anything else. They never claim to take the place of clear coat and says it won't be perfect but looks way better that before! It's a cleaner!
Your not using the correct directions you have to use a cloth towel not a microfiber towel and second the way you wipe it off you have to use some elbow grease not that wax on wax off shit.
The tensioner just pivots moving the pulley and creating slack in the belt. Do the opposite to put on a new belt. 85’ 2.5L engines and maybe others have different tensioners. I hope this helps.
I don’t know what the guy in the video was doing, but that’s not how to use the product. With that being said, the results would still suck. If you’ve lost clearcoat and the sun has had access to the basecoat, you’re fucked. Send all the way to the primer and repaint and re-clearcoat. Clearcoat protects the paint from oxidation and UV damage without clearcoat oxidation is already in the base coat.
this guy is doing it all wrong!!. you have to have the lukat fix it, and the sealer that comes with it.. clean the area that u want to fix. make sure it is smooth. apply the lukat fix. wait 5 to 10 minutes to dry and then put on the sealer. your shine should there. Don't know what the guy in the video was doing!!!!
wetsanding and compounds will get better results I did it on my wife car before so sell it and it was looking better then this. The buyer knows about the clearcoat issue and was ok with this and planned to apply clearcoat
It's great how the same brand will try and sell you a bunch of different products and the end result still looks like crap. Save yourself the hassle and just wet sand it and clear coat it using a 2 part spray can
