I really love that they dusted off “Nothing Is Real But The Girl.” I know Debbie historically hasn’t had the nicest feelings about Jimmy so the fact they they are doing one of his lesser known contributions is really cool.
Blondie has been a part of my life since I was 10, now 53. I saw them live many times, even met the band once, where I was kindly invited on their bus after the show. Best night of my life! Awesome when you meet your Heroes and they couldn’t have been nicer. I will so miss Blondie when it’s over. Thankfully I will have great shows like this to keep them alive❤. Thank you
Thank YOU! I fell in love with Blondie (specifically blondes, lol) when i saw her on Solid Gold when i was 6 or 7 (50 now). I never saw her in person until this show. It was l8ke being in the presence of a goddess, lol. I couldn't believe i was watching her perform Live! I am grateful for that experience. I too will be sad when it is over. I think your account of meeting them is very cool. I was fortunate enough to meet my all time favorite band as well. Mercyful Fate. We hung out for several hours and have since developed a bona-fide friendship with a couple of members. They were the nicest, most accommodating musicians i had ever met! Thank you for leaving a comment, i very much appreciate your time doing so :)
He's not doing live shows at the minute due to health issues. But he's got the book coming out and he and Debbie are doing live promo appearances together (I'm seeing them in NYC in a couple of weeks). And he'll also be on the upcoming album and will hopefully be able to do some live shows when it comes out.
Sick recording! I also recorded the whole show, would you be okay if I cut together our footage into a multicam edit and posted it? With permission credited to your channel and video, of course
Thank you MNB. Lmao, you chose the two worst songs DF have haver written. It was worth it for masterpieces like The Dawn No More Rises, Nosferatu and Goddess of Sodomy, certainly not for those crap songs you mentioned
My daughter and I were there! Specifically for black braid 🤘🤘🤘dark funeral definitely didn’t disappoint either 🤘PHENOMENAL SHOW! Thank you for posting my friend
You bet! Blackbraid, i had never heard of before that show, thought they were pretty good. I will have to check them out further. 200 blew my mind, lol...Cattle were as good, if not better than the last time i saw them a few months ago. And Dark Funeral....the reason i bought tickets! Glad you and your daughter shared that show together, and thanks for watching my video \m/
@MetalMF0508 it really depends on the arrangements, venues, bill. I would assume with 3 or 4 bands on the bill: opening act, whether they are local or national act, i would expect 20 mins at the very least, but up to a half hour. National acts typically perform 30-40 min sets. Headliners anywhere from 45 mins to an hour, hour 15 mins. Again, depends on the production itinerary from venue to venue. I've attended shows in excess of 3-4 hours where the headliner performs a 2-hour set. BUT, as a standard expectation, plan for up to a 4 hour show after doors open.
Black Satellite was certainly different, eh? I thought Cradle was great! Devil Driver was new to me. Oni was bad ass on thier last song. Glad you appreciate the upload! Thank you for watching it :)
Dude this is awesome!!! King Diamond and Mercyful Fate are my favorite bands of all time, stay heavy dude \m/ what song is playing in the back ground btw??? Sounds like a live early version of MF songs
I can't believe all the signed items in your collection. I started collecting King Diamond myself but after watching this I know I will never be able to have a collection as great as what you have. Wow!
Thank you, man! I'm very proud of my collection. I am happy you appreciate it! I am very fortunate to have had the opportunities I've had in getting these signed.
Wow! Best collection I have ever seen anywhere! Thanks for posting this. How many times have you seen Fate and Diamond? P.S. That song is one of my favourites ever. Much respect...
Thank you! I've collected for over 30 years. Everything is first press except the Brats vinyl. I've seen Fate once during the 9 tour but hung out with them for hours. Hank said he needs some of this for his own collection. I am personal friends with one member from a spinoff group. Ruzz agreed to be in one of my projects but nothing was ever recorded. I've seen King twice, met him twice, House of God tour, and the most recent tour, VIP for the Institute. I am very proud of my collection and am happy to share it with like-minded fans! I appreciate your appreciation, lol.
@@MrNobody-fk7fc Hahaha, Hank Sherman wants some of your collection, no doubt! All first press.WOW, yeah you should be proud! What do you remember from hanging out with them! (I have been a huge fan since 1984 and have a lot of rare edition albums and met King too). Was going to get the Institute Lobotomy VIP but they didn't come to Toronto this year... I just posted this video to the King Diamond Mercyful Fate fan page on facebook, hope you don't mind, as I thought this needs to be fully appreciated!
@@jenniferhumphries9298 i don't mind at all. I've added to this collection since its recording. What recall from the 9 tour is quite involved. The most impressive bits were with Hank. He hung out in the cold with me in front of the bus and venue for hours and we talked about many things. He was freezing and asked if we could sit in my car so we could have air conditioning. I didn't drive to the venue that night so he endured more cold. I thought it funny because he comes from one of the coldest places on earth, and we were in Colorado at the time. He at one point asked why i was still hanging out so long after the show had ended. I explained that i was waiting to have my sleeves signed by King. He broke the bad news and told me King had already gone back to the hotel. He said he would go get King and he would come back and meet me and sign my things. This would have been about 3 hours after the show had ended. I said, "He would do that?!" He said King would. I did not want to impose myself on them like that so i declined. Hank then offered to take my things on tour with him and have King sign them for me and he would send them back to me. I gave him my stuff and Hank mailed it all back to me a month later. He included that small note with the sleeves, as you see framed in the video! All of the guys in Fate were very friendly and took all the time to meet with me and talk with me, and answered all of my questions. I am very appreciative to have had the pleasure of meeting my all time favorite band! Never could I have imagined such an opportunity while i grew up listening to these guys as gods!
@@MrNobody-fk7fc wow, being rock stars isn't as glamorous as people think! So amazing that they took the time and effort to carefully sign and actually return everything to you! What a great story, glad I asked! Thanks for sharing that and "stay heavy" :) Lots of fans are really enjoying seeing your collection.
