Connie and I enjoy travel, festivals, amusement parks, conventions (of all types), antiquing and the occasional food review. We'd loved to have you join us.
New videos every Saturday and Sunday evenings.
Check out our trailer to see what we're all about.
I love your videos and have watched many of them. We love America and believe it is the greatest country in the world. Sending lots of love and blessings from Pakistan. We watch American vlogs and explore American cities daily, and there is no place in the world like the USA. You are blessed to live there, and we pray for you and America. Please continue to make more videos!
Wow that is amazing! You and your family are lucky to see it in person right when it opened. Great video! Oh, and if ya could, I’d love to see the 8mm home videos of the opening you mentioned, I love the early years of the park & space mountain; It would be great to see! 😄
Its a great shop. The prices are very reasonable - I always go and grab movies for the kids , and have picked up a handful of books. I love that I have no idea what ill walk out with when going
Absolutely love this shop! I’m thankful to have a local shop for all my collecting hobbies! Steve always has a great collection of goods and he’s always bringing in more. Steve and fam are wonderful people and I’m glad I’ve got to know them through my frequent stops in at the store.
Amazing store and a much needed addition to Tega Cay! I've been going to Collecting Problems since they opened last year. Steve and his family are great people! I love supporting their store and can't wait to see what the future holds for them.
So happy to have a local store like this! I always come across something cool whether it be a comic book, movie, collectible, or vinyl. Steve is super friendly and knowledgeable about what he’s selling and always manages to find something interesting that wrestles my wallet open 😂
Totally agree, easy to miss it if you’re traveling too fast! 😝 but once you discover it, you’ll find out it’s a great little shop. Been going there since day 1! Steve and his family are great. Whenever I’ve had questions for him, I can easily IM via FB and he responds well to me!
Great video! Going to Collecting Problems has been a weekly trip for me for the past couple months. I always find something new whether it’s for comics, movies, or books. Steve has always been very friendly and welcoming to my girlfriend and I
@@twistedarm Looks like they have not posted the 2025 schedule or dates yet. I'd check their site periodically. marionbigfootfestival.com/ Or facebook.com/wncbigfootfestival?mibextid=ZbWKwL
Great video very good cruise in and carnival I guess the carnival is all weekend or all week being near the 4th of July are they doing fireworks?. Thanks Todd and Connie
@louiethompson4108 Opening day was mainly scheduled for a few of the passengers and Sully to show up. I would check the website and check the events section. ❤️
My husband and I lived in the town hall 1998 for a year. What a unique experience. Weekends were packed with cowboys and cowgirls. I will never forget the life around there. Andy was truly mayor of GUN SMOKE ❤️✌️
I love how much interest you took in our little town. I wish you had been able to see the old daisy quilt from the war effort at the old courthouse. Each family donated 10 cents and embroidered a petal on the quilt to help the war effort. My family's name is there.
What a fun little walk through! Thank you for sharing! I lived in Norwood in my early 20's, but haven't been through town in over 15 years. It hasn't changed much!
Great video, nice pickups. This store is on my list to visit. It's a little ways from fayettevlle, but thank you for the video. After seeing it, I now know a roadtrip should be made asap.😂😂😂😂
The old lookout was more personable. You can sit in your car and watch planes go off real close. The new one was disappointing. There is no shades whatsoever. It was not ready to be open.
I definitely agree about the shading. It would be nice to have them plant trees as well. They should have waited for all the landscaping to be completed for sure.
Todd, at first, I thought that was you in one of your many awesome disguises. Then I realized it was a deranged looking Peter Pan. It could also pass as a relative of Chucky's, you know.
OAKBORO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO WAY!!!!! I was born & raised there. My family still lives there. Never thought in a million years I'd see anyone do a RU-vid video on my home sweet home!!! The olive green bus at 00:58 used to belong to my family. My dad built it out to be like an RV, and we camped in it at bluegrass festivals all summer long. The porch on the back is my favorite feature! :). My grandpa was the Oakboro mailman for many, many years. He has a brick at the railroad museum! Oakboro does a HUGE celebration for the Fourth of July, with a parade, pageants, music competitions, a fair that sets up for the entire week, a big fireworks display.. they really go ALL OUT for a small town! We eat at that Mexican restaurant every time we're in town visiting my grandma. She loves tacos!! My cousins got into a LOT of trouble dumping laundry detergent into that fountain when they were teenagers LOL. Thank you so much for sharing, this brought back sooo many good memories. All of my favorite memories as a child were made with my grandparents right there in the footage you took!
The young lady at the gas station told us about the upcoming events. They start this Friday with the Car Cruise-In. We plan on attending. Thank you for sharing your family history there. ❤️
@@toddventureI don't know if y'all know this but that first building across from the Variety Pickup where the the cruise in sign is, on side of that building there used to be an old coca cola advertisement sign on the side of it as can be seen in old photographs, if you look on the side you can kind of see a faded outline from where the sign once was on that wall.
We've stayed in Black Mountain many times over 15-20 years. Three of the big Bed & Breakfasts were purchased and no longer exist. The Red Rocker remains, but the owners sold out in 2023. The new owners are now trading on the Red Rocker's good reputation, but they have removed some of the perks, especially the well-known Breakfast Buffet (the main reason for staying there). The breakfast menu for guests is included with the room now, but I had to send mine back to the kitchen twice in 3 days. Their rates are way up, too. And raising their rates, a lot. There is no longer a reason to stay there
