Trying to do these three islands this winter, note we been to Aruba like 15 times. Along with Curacao for a week but only a cruise day in Bonaire. Now that we are retired was hoping to get from one island to another, noticed its not that easy to fly to Aruba from Bonaire. Was wondering how you got around from one island to another?

thanks for your interest! we did indeed fly back and forth. I wrote a summary on island hopping in aruba, bonaire and curacao to help people plan getting around there: www.shadesofsummr.com/how-to-island-hopping-in-aruba-bonaire-and-curacao/

Pretty accurate as we just came back from Curaçao and Aruba. My only disagreement would be that the beaches In Curaçao are better in terms of water clarity and the number you of them you can visit. If you’re looking for amenities, I would say Aruba.

1. "Most Curaçao locals hate tourists". REALLY? Where does this bullshit come from? 🤦🏾‍♂ 2. "Bonaire is the cheapest". NO, Curaçao is the cheapest! 3. "Aruba is the safest ABC-island". NO, Bonaire is the safest!

this "bullshit" comes from our experience of living there for years. from being ripped off all the time, from being insulted, from being screamed at at the airport. i have traveled the world, and never been treated as badly as in Curacao. We talked to locals, and some confirmed that there is just a strain with dutch tourists, and they don't like having them. i get it that you might experienced things differently, and that the situation feels different to everyone. also, we spent a lot less money in Bonaire (if you compare tour prices and restaurants and hotels you'll see). and we did feel the safest in Aruba. it is ok if you disagree, but please don't invalidate our opinion.

@@RDNTDrones despite all that, Curaçao was still your favourite, how come? I found that rather strange. I am sorry and I apologize that you have encountered some rude people here in Curaçao (unfortunately they are everywhere, and I have travelled to over 80 countries). Fact is that saying that "most" locals hate the tourists is generalizing, and gives a completely wrong impression of the reality. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. However, facts are facts. Bonaire is the safest, and Bonaire is definitely not the cheapest...even though you spent less money there somehow. I am telling you these things as a born and raised local who has visited A+B several times. Glad that you enjoyed all three though, each with its own charm 😊

@@Toto121982 Curacao is simply incredibly beautiful. We love all the bays in the west, we love that you can see so many animals everywhere! I think you are right and I should have phrased it better, what I meant was: most locals I TALKED TO confirmed, that they are extremely frustrated with the dutch tourists (for good reasons). and as someone that was wrongfully detained on the airport and my embassy had to rescue me I kind of felt that hate in that moment. but you are right, bad choice of words. As for safety, you are also right that there is probably less crime in Bonaire. However, I am talking about my feeling of safety as a young woman. I simply felt less bothered in Aruba, and I enjoyed the atmosphere there more when by myself. I guess day tours and some restaurants in Bonaire are cheaper so overall I spent less money. also kind of subjective.

Great comparisons. Liked that you didn't just say : Aruba best beach Bonaire least expensive Aruba friendliest...etc. You actually kind of explained the other 2 islands after each category, thank you!
