This is amazing Joey, smart words, motivation, positive energy, preparation and doing what we love.. congratulations my friend… you are an inspiration , great person and awesome director…
This could have been so much more a joy to watch had the cameras given close ups of the dancer. This solo from Don Quixote is one of my favourites but it was spoiled because the camera is too far away. Can you edit please?
Wonderful trio, even though Teixeira struggled a little. I noticed that she did not do the three tours en dedans à la seconde in her variation. Comparison with Shakirova ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K48vvfKDRXQ.html
He can do many things … but the director or coach is missing . A pity because he had a brilliant technique . But no-one to mark the tempi and the stage at least …

bravooo I really love what you are doing and it’s so important to look at your dancer in the way you’re looking and take care of them wish you all the best keep going like this!!!
Excellent goals ! And quite good comments ! Yes, long bars, long exercises, complicated exercises, they are nowhere to be useful, you don't even use such complicated movement patterns in choreography usually, so it doesn't even train the dancers for anything. Motor skills are VERY specific, but I'll disagree with the tours en l'air, yes, they don't have anything to do with battements tendus, but they are literally a plié-relevé in V position. Sadly, that's not even considered an important movement in company classes; if you read older soviet literature (in russian of course), you'll see that all the lessons of all the years include plie-relevé exercises in all kind of positions. Besides plié-relevé, sissonnes en tournant (tours en l'airs with foot to knee, passé/retiré/raccourci/whatever you call it position) use the exact same muscles used for doing a tour en dehors or en dedans in V position (pirouette), which can also and should be done at the barre. This way you prepare for tours en l'air with simple bar exercises. Almost all positions and movement patterns derive from plié, relevé, battements tendus, ronds de jambes and battements développés.
I follow you since you started this, I am an argentinian teacher, and I definitely aplaud your initiative. It's a great thing that you want to improve the situation, and dream of having a big company, which I don't how big is right now, but seems like a dream come true surely. And I also aplaud that you want for a more scientific approach to the wellcare of dancers, though if I can suggest you something; don't isolate so much the activities, I can see by the footage, that the specialists have been trying to replicate as similarly as possible the movements in order to improve strength, coordination, stability and proprioception in the right muscles and motor skills, but science should also become an integral part of pedagogic research, improving the quality of specific dance training, in order to maintain in better technique and shape your dancers, with as less possible damage and physical demand. That's the long lost legacy of Agrippina Vaganova, and it would be great to recover it.
