Last July my queen Samantha went into labor and for the first time in my life I saw a cat's water break!! I ran to the bathroom to get some rags because it broke on my leather couch. As I was wiping up the water, just a minute or two she cried out in the most heartbreaking sound I have ever heard a cat make and her first kitten was born, a beautiful calico I named Iris. I didn't put her up for adoption; I wanted that little calico because I have never seen a kitten birth like that.
My aunts cat isabelle had 4 kittens (1 died so now only three) penny smokey (were giving smokey away) and george isabelle was supposed to give birth in her nest my aunt made her but instead so gave birth on some of my toys😂 literally im not joking😂😂😂
I'm really paranoid right now. My pregnant cat is panting and gasping for air and she's trying to push however there is no discharge in her vulva. I hope she deliver safely.
I am able to see the vaginal discharge on my foster cat because she never grooms herself there. It's actually worrisome, like she never actually learned to groom herself properly, I wonder if I should do it for her
Cats I’m the wild have kittens without any of this. I have kittens living under my house that survive during these cold days. I’m a proper room letting her do her thing is plenty of help. Let them do their job
I just rescued a 3-4-week-old kitten that was abandoned by its mom. He is eating goat's milk and some wet food mixed with goat milk. He has no interest in the litter box. I place him in the litter tray and he jumps out right away, He had a bowel movement on himself this morning. I've had kittens before and they took right to the litter box. I'm puzzled! Is he just too young?
Last time my cat had kittens it was so stressful, but we all went through it in total we got 6 kittens but one passed away that’s why we have five but we just got a new litter of kittens right now and they’re so cute and now we have 6
You are so helpful!! I took my baby girl to the vet two days ago because I had suspicions for an entire month that she was pregnant, but I thought I just might’ve been being delusional (several people told me this lol) or she was just going through puberty because her first birthday was 12 days ago (May 4th). They didn’t even need to do an ultrasound, not that I could’ve afford one anyway, it was mad expensive. The vet was able to know immediately and buy a physical examination. She said she felt at least two kitten bodies but it’s hard to tell without an ultrasound. My guess is there’s 3, just like yours. I think her belly is too big to just be holding two. The vet was also able to tell by their size that Effy (my precious silver tabby) was going to give birth in no later than two weeks. So they will be here on or before May 27 and I’m so nervous, I live alone, so I don’t have help and I’ve never dealt with a pregnant animal before. Not that she needs help necessarily but I’m obviously going to be close by to assist if she needs anything. This video helped calm me down, especially knowing that they’ve got it under control. my biggest fear is that she’ll go into labor when I’m asleep or not here, she so until she has the babies I’m not really going anywhere unless it will be quick like to the store. I keep coming back to this video to see if any of these things are happening, she just did the kicking of the litter box. It was so aggressive and she’s never like that, she’s usually so gentle. She’s doing the excessive grooming thing, being extremely vocal and slightly restless (I say slightly because she is still crashing a lot for naps). It’s just when she’s awake. You can tell she’s anxious. Also, you can feel the movement of the babies. it’s early Thursday morning right now and my guess is she’ll have them by the end of the weekend. I'm a rescuer. I have 33, and someone brought me a pregnant kitty last week..she's in our bedroom, and I need to make her a nest. I have a mama who is 14, I got to see her babies born 13 years ago. I hope this all goes well 🙏
I am currently fostering 3 4 week old kittens. They are ready....I hope! Just beginning to focus on solid food and litter training today and found this video. Thank YOU. Hoping it is as easy as it looks. I fostered a litter of 4 3 years ago and it took longer than I expected it would, but they finally got it!
My cat is 8 yrs a female. My other cat is 3 yrs a male. I was told they were neutered and spayed. But my female cat has all the symptoms of pregnancy. This couldn’t happen right. Maybe like you mentioned pseudo pregnancy. We can only have 2 pets.
I can see my adult cat nipples. smh. Every time she lays down I see it more. And very pink. My mother and my kids have a habit of opening the entrance door without looking to see if the cat is behind them. Anyways, my cat has an increase of appetite. Been feisty only when eating. And have been taking a lot of naps. And I have all the windows closed and been on top of everyone when it’s time to leave. Because if she’s pregnant I don’t want her to get pregnant again. I don’t want more cats .😢
My cat just lost her mucus plug, very long almost thick and snotty in texture (for lack of a better word) We have 9 nests made up for her but she has chosen to hide behind the couch on a pillow. I tried keeping her in my room and even set it up 2 weeks ago with 4 different nests but she cried and clawed the door for hours. So we are just following her lead and letting her go where she wants.
My queen is pregnant for the first and only time she is on an enclosed porch so the other cats don't fight with her she is huge and can't lick her genitals she had bad diarrhea and she is supposed to have them any day now vet Told me to call if she don't have then within 4 days that was 3 days ago
Not sure if you are still available for questions, but your video was very helpful. The one thing that you did not mention was breathing is the breathing increased when they go into labor?
In my family we have had 1 pregnant cat ,but this is my 1st time being a cat mother caretaker ,,because this is the first time for me , I raised Her from being a kitten all the way to her own motherhood I'm sad and excited at the same time This cat has so much trust in me It's hard Think what it would be like if she didn't.The cat's name is Precious and she's the cutest little Cotton ball.
