i know it's been a while, but i just wanted to say, Austin puts a lot of y's in his words. like at the beginning, "straynded at the dryve in." and "Sayndy" i'm not saying he's bad or anything, just that he should work on that.
i didnt know anything about this series so just a question is it a broadway themed thing?coz if so they do pretty well but otherwise they are just way too ott they need to be a lil more natural dont you think?
OMG! I saw Grease on Broadway on September 29, and it was the best day of my life! Max and Laura were great and they were so nice! THey gave everybody who wanted an autograph and they even took a picture with my sister! I loved that day!
aww. austin is good and very talented, but i just think max deserved this part. austin kinda sounded too squeaky in the beginning of the song and his chemistry with the girls doesnt seem natural enough. i thought max sounded great in this song and he has great chemistry with both the girls (esp. with laura at the stairs). so cute. the right people definitely won and austin and ashley will definitely be in other things.
How did Max win? Talent, humor, devoted fans, & did I mention talent? What did David Ian say? Oh yeah, "back the talent". And they did, the producer, the director/choreographer and the co-creator did exactly that. And so did America.
Laura flubbed it a little bit... she forgot to sing walking down the stairs. But bravo, I loved this show. Hopefully they release a DVD of the broadway performance.
I agree. I actually voted for Ashley and Max, and I was a little bummed to see Laura get the part. But, like you said...Laura will do fine. Ashley just would have been a better match-up with Max, as they had better chemistry together. Besides, Ashley is HOT! :)
I know what you mean about the Broadway Cast. Their voices are PHENOMENAL.. but they do look kinda old after we just got done watching 16 to 25 (or so) yr olds for the last couple of months. I remember thinking that when comparing Phantom of the Opera on stage vs the movie. But it takes A LOT of work & time to get that part usually and time ages you.
Agreed. The T-Birds aren't as badass as everyone keeps trying to make them sound anyway; they would get their butts kicked by the other gang. They just happen to be more bad boy and punk than most of the good kids at the school. Not to mention how bad Danny is at all the jock stuff, because he's not an athlete and he doesn't care. He's a laid back slacker who's lovable because he's sincere, almsot to a fault. Now who does THAT sound like?
For this song, I'd pick Laura and Austin. Even though ashley was VERY convincing. Max was very breathy and practically whispered the song. What he didn't whisper sounded off with Laura. _K
When people pay really good money to go see a BROADWAY musical, I'm pretty sure you want talent over who looks more like John Travolta. Max can outsing and outact Austin. As for sympathy votes...not so much. Plus, Austin's little bit was just as sappy...the producers tell them to be dramatic...it's better t.v. GO MAX!
Max! Max! Max! Max! Max! Austin is too fake and tries way too hard. Max can be any character he wants because he becomes the person he's playing. GO MAX (AND LAURA)!
The last time i checked, Danny is not a pipsqueek. Those ears and his srawny build just make him look more like a geek the T-Birds would pick on rather than follow. And his last comment about him having Bell's Palsy. Pulease! Can you say sympathy votes?
Ashley definitely has a sexier edge over Laura, and she has a better trained voice. Laura is good, but Ashley is better overall and ought to win. She matches up with Max pretty well, too.
ok, we've already agreed that max sounds good with either girls. Max should win. I personally think laura is a stage hogger so im voting for ashely. besides that, ashley and max look cute together
How funny. I just watched this and totally felt the chemistry (and the singing) was just amazing with Austin and Ashley. They look like Danny and Sandy to me.
both austin and max are good singers, however i think that max's voice is more danny, because austin started too "low" in the beginning of the song. GO LAURA!!!
