The Travelodge at 11.10 used to be the Woolworths Store. It had a catastrophic fire there in 1979 where customers were trapped on the upper floors and lost their lives (see the Google images). I wonder how many hotel guests would decide not to stay there if they knew that ??
Very true , approx five years before that event I was working in Stag boutique immediately opposite and I looked up to see a very large pane of glass just fall out of a top floor window ( on a Saturday) and crash onto the pavement below which was full of shoppers . Unbelievably it missed everyone and nobody was hurt! I was also shopping in that store in 1966 when England won the World football cup . God how old I am feeling ! The whole center looks a lot less busy than it used to .
Thank you for watching be sure to check out our main content that is reviewing vintage and collectible toys and other collectibles and top tips on what we are holding now
@@ZILLA_1954 I don’t remember what we paid with out Digging back but it wasn’t cheap at retail Really nice set I don’t understand how they passed this when they were deciding what to do - it’s a super cool concept and most have been fun creating it - it’s one of my personal favourites for the film
I think you may be trolling, but if you are genuine you have lost a lot of money by opening the figure - a loose vinyl cape Jawa can fetch £400-800 ungraded, maybe more. A sealed example on a Palitoy cardback? Recent sales have varied from £8000-21000. But like I said you have to be joking right? I really hope so otherwise you just screwed up big time
We have an extensive collection of rare collectibles from vintage matchbox cars worth a few quid - as with all collections there is always a period after which it needs to go to make way for something else… Born from that fact we are a reselling company and that’s what we do - mostly vintage toys including first release Star Wars , Barbie hotwheels but also fine art including original works by Fred Yates , Sheree valentine daines and rare Lowry signed prints , vintage Chanel and more If your hobby gives you enjoyment and can make you money then that’s not a bad thing

First release Jawas came with a vinyl cape which was soon switched to the cloth cape! Palitoy distributed Star Wars in the U.K. and Kenner in the USA, obviously a lot of Kenner products were imported by Palitoy to meet demand! A carded Palitoy Jawa vinyl cape is very valuable…very 😎
Could well be this replica is very rare and only a handful were made in black off the top of my head it’s an addition of 500 maybe less - I started collecting them before the whole flag thing and then the prices just sky rocketed and availability dropped
