I remember my dad showed me this cutscene when the game had just come out - I couldn't believe how good I thought the graphics looked! The forest felt real to me lol. I was so dang hyped to play the game too. good times!

Something that I really like that I don’t see anyone mentioning is how they made DK when beating up the koopas/goombas look like he’s actually doing his smash inputs like if in a match instead of just a regular attack because of it being a cutscene (mainly at 0:10 where you can clearly see him doing his down-smash with even the star that appears when charging the move)
