I am Chris Ponsford, otherwise know as 'The Pons' and I have been fishing for over 60 years, so that make me old, LOL, but I still love it be it Sea, Coarse or Fly fishing. I have fished and lived aboard and spent my last 20years as a River Bailiff, Pro photographer and Fishing Guide. Also, I have been a fish Consultant for Wychwood, Pallatrax, TFG and Korum in Coarse fishing and recently have stated working with Tronix a fantastic Sea & Lure brand. Thanks for the video. Good to know that wafters are classed as pellets as a local pools allows pellets but not boilies and I didn’t know what wafters were categorised as. 👍
A very enjoyable video Chris and some lovely Wye barbel! I have copies of your Teme Tigers and Wye Valley Barbel videos from circa 2007 and have watched and enjoyed them many times. I fish exclusively for barbel and the Wye is probably my favourite river and I’ve enjoyed numerous trips down there over the last ten years or so.
great video Pons, lovely stretch of river and lovely fish. i would like to catch Barbel and chub on the Tees and Swale up in Yorkshire, will this methodology work or would you try something else??

Chris absolutely cracking video the 2nd I've watched in 2 days. Just sad theirs only 3! Keep them coming you could literally be the new john wilson and that's fully a compliment on my eyes. Watched him as a boy growing up. Makes me want to go fishing with you. May well try some touch levering if conditions allow on the wye on Saturday cheers Jon
Chris loved that video really captures the joy of the river being there and the bonus of some lovely fish. Incidently why would you choose not to cost fish a swim like that in those conditions? I'm off to the wye this Sat first time in nearly 2 years!!! Far too long!! Can't wait thanks Jon
Great video again Pons! Really enjoying your channel and the simplicity of your techniques. Completely agree that fishing the tip over alarms is the way to go. Did a bit of Autumn tench fishing and managed a couple which isn’t bad for mid October! Keep up the great work and tight lines pal!

@@chrisponsford1327 it's a heavily fished lake in the middle of a housing estate so gets alsorts thrown in there. I've never seen them caught on anything but meat.
