Where's Logo? We have recently been "hiding" our logo in our videos. There are two logos in this video (hint: one is on deck 5 and one is on deck 6). In the future, we plan to give away our Caribbean travel journal to one viewer per video that finds our logos. We are still learning the software involved in making this happen, so we will probably start that in January. We will likely only run this "Where's Logo?" on our longer videos, because it needs to be challenging.
I must say, that I like this format where you're explaining everything that we're looking at. Also, I'm with you on the deck 16 chairs, and I would rather look out at the ocean and whatever scenery may or may not be there that staring across the way at people staring at me.
I’m always Leary on the shore excursion food quality. Your description as being just warm confirmed this to me. Not just the temperature being not what it should be it’s the preparation standards and general food handling practices. We had an all in at Chankanaub (sp?) park in Cozumel once. We looked at the food, looked at each other and walked away without eating. The surrounding, the cleanliness and the way the food was on the buffet and the looks of the food, nope! Wasn’t taking a chance we waited until we boarded the ship. We have been considering Blue Laggon on our upcoming cruise to Nassau as we’ve always ventured onto the island on our own, your video has giving me something to think about, thanks👍cheers🍻
I have mobility issues and for my upcoming cruise, one benefit sold us on the Key: priority tender port. Everyone knows that Santorini is a nightmare to go up to the old city. Our game plan: be the first bunch to go to beat most of the crowd to the cable car.
Very true. I forgot to mention it because there are very few ports that still use tenders. Santorini and Grand Cayman are the only two that come to mind. Normally I don't get the key on smaller ships but we are going to Santorini next summer and we will also be getting the Key for that trip, due to what you mentioned. Thanks for the great comment.
@@3rdOrbitTravelers for my sailing, I just noticed that Mykonos will also be a tender port. Double win for me. I think there are rumours about RCC considering adjusting the program…. Let’s hope for the better….
They most likely get new people every season that are under trained however, that is NO excuse for rudeness when dealing with customer service. If you are being polite then the service Personnel should be also polite and apologetic !
Too bad the weather prevented you to explore town, witness local master carvers working on totem poles, sharing Tlingit history and culture. Did you notice the heavily carved narrow bench by the wall? Cannery workers’ knives left their marks there long time ago. There is so much more…..
I agree. We had friends on the cruise that didn’t have an early excursion and went into town. They loved it and showed us lots of pictures. Next time we will definitely go. Also bummed that we didn’t notice the bench. Thank you for the great comment.
Great review. The kids being out of control is hilarious. 😂 i don’t think they should have had kids at the Taste of Royal but I am for sure going to try it out thank you.
Not sure your tables are completely correct. You should have mentioned how many port days you had. This is where the cruise line really wins. I realize you mentioned port days in your video but that wasn’t factored in your tables. If it’s a 7 day cruise and 4 of those days are in ports then the $33 per day for the refresher more than doubles. It’s not worth it at that point.
I actually did a test to see if thee was a statistical correlation between the number of port days and the cost per day. There wasn’t. However the sample size was very small. Anyway, I totally agree that when deciding if it’s worth it or not, people should take into account the number of days they will be in port.
Thank you. I'm actually going back in a week and I'll be doing a new tour. They have made a lot of changes since the last tour. I was there about a month ago and I was blown away by how much they have added. However, I didn't have any time to shoot videos while I was there, so I couldn't do the tour then. The new tour should be posted by the end of this month or the beginning of next month.
Absolutely. I am going on her in the beginning of 2025. Right now I have reservations on the following ships: Icon, utopia, Brilliance (2x), Navigator, and Harmony. I also have a couple of cruises that I have been on already but that I haven't uploaded the videos yet: Harmony and Voyager (transatlantic). I have one more that I'm still deciding on and that covers 2025 and the rest of this year. I will be doing videos for all of them.
I really Love the songs in Your video! Great Video Btw , sad that was a Rainy day while you were on CocoCay 😢 Can I ask you the name of the songs at 5:29 and 8:54 ? Sorry for My terrible English but I am Italian
Your English is absolutely fine. I'm glad you enjoyed the video and music. I made both songs with an AI music program. It took a lot of attempts but they both turned out pretty good in the end. The one song you like is in this video in its entirety: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6425-ITk734.htmlsi=FmEZ_ESFo7y8uiWo Also, I make videos that go with my better songs and I will be adding a few more in the near future. Here is a link to the playlist I put them all in: ru-vid.com/group/PLGdHP0yyduERzDQrg-R_Mzjzsvzsms0hl&si=SDHOdcNCf2klMVcA I hope you enjoy.
@@3rdOrbitTravelers Thank You so Much , you did an Amzing Work! The songs you made are Just perfect , I also listened a few more in some of your others video like the video of the Simphony of the Seas, I appreciated the link you put here and I hope you realese an entire video with the song at 5.29 cause is My Favourite!
@@alessandrogiacco3148 I really enjoy it as well, I'll put it on the list for one of the “music videos” Thank you again for watching and for the nice words.
Great review! I am a “lover” of Wonderland! My take: not all courses are for everyone, including me! You just might not know until you try. My server asked what I was interested in, and I was overwhelmed by the menu! He brought everything I *knew* I wanted, and “filled in” with his own recommendations. I enjoyed the majority, while some were over-the-top amazing. The experience itself is so entirely unique, which was also exciting and refreshing. Not a stuffy, boring, more uptight atmosphere as I feel some specialty dining options can be. Can’t wait to try it for a 2nd time!
This by far my favorite stop on this cruise. I'm a lot bummed we didn't see the wild flamingos though like you did! What is with the rock you placed on the fossil corral? Ice skating on a cruise ship is a lot harder than on land. I didn't realize how much the movement of the ship affected that. The fact those performers can do what they do is beyond amazing.
The island was amazing. I was excited to see the cave, but it turned out to be my least favorite part of my tour that day. The flamingos were amazing but my favorite part was seeing all the remote undeveloped parts of the island.
Totally agree. Wonder is an amazing ship and probably my favorite but when I went in it for this video all the decks open to the wind/rain were closed. No one was at the pools or anyplace else that was open to the sky. This lasted all but one day, hence my choice of music. I’m trying to get on another Wonder cruise in 25 so that I can do a video that will do the ship justice.
@@3rdOrbitTravelers The music was fine and set the tone which forces you to really take in the great footage you captured. Btw I love Hip Hop and I can appreciate the choice of music for this vlog. You earned a subscriber today, I really enjoyed the video.
Good question but there is no easy answer. You can order multiple appetizers and desserts, but when it comes to the main meal, it gets tricky. Typically at specialty restaurants, you are limited to one main course. However, I have been to several where I have asked for a recommendation from the waiter when I was having a difficult time picking between two meals and was given both meals so I didn't have to pick. Also, one time a waiter simply brought me an extra main course without me even asking because he wanted me to try it and thought I would like it. I think it depends on the waiter and the specialty restaurant. My advice would be to assume one main, but it never hurts to ask for another.
Always split up my clothes in 2 bags and always carry on a change of clothes. I'm one that will walk the Halls and look for my Bag, will even carry it down to my Cabin when they are bringing them up. Usually when dont get it right away I'd find it misplaced at other end of Ship on same Deck
My son and I did a snorkeling tour of the SS Antilles (a WWII shipwreck) and a nearby beach. That was a lot of fun. We then went on a submarine tour of several more shipwrecks, reaching a total depth of 150 feet. After, that, we enjoyed a beer and some snacks with you, and finally stopped into Del Sol before heading back to the ship.
