So, this is it, this is the original, it feels… odd being here, like I’m somewhere 8m not supposed to be, it’s weird, first uploaded in 2011, and now here I am, viewing it in 2024
Saw a video once of an indian walking along the top of a train with overheads. He put his arm up to use the cable as a guide and then immediately caught fire and fell down dead burning in flames on top of the train roof.
Oh my goodness, there are just too many C**ks why not just remove all C**ks and replace them with valves, it could be all C**ks are the problem, To many C**ks can spoil the soup as they say. I reaal do like trains but, I wonder were they just all drunk after work when chose to name it and call a valve A C**k when the first trains were created, I mean yes you do have to C**K it open but why name it C**K.
first person ever killed by a train was huchkinson on the manchester to liverpool line ,which was the first major line that was built not far from ware i am
All that promise, and they turned out to be some of the worst intercity trains the UK has ever had. Meanwhile, 40 year old HSTs are still going strong.
The BSI is basically an update of the older tight lock coupler. The tight lock is buckeye with an electric block underneath used on older electric units.
Actually tightlocks and Buckeyes are different, and don't like being coupled together. Look at the front of a 455 (as they don't have electrical boxes) and a slam door unit. 455s have tightlocks, slammers have buckeyes, and you'll notice they're quite different
Guys. All these faults were all my fault. So the next time you’re riding a Class 180 and it develops a problem. Just remember it was me, it was always me
Unpopular opinion, i like the 180. Would he interesting to archive one.... probably wont go anywhere (like most museum bound trains) But i do think they're VERY swanky. But like most fully electronic things they have a lot of gremlins Like the P38 Land Rover Range Rover, and Dyson Fans
I would turn the engines off before going to the cab at the other end. It will save fuel, reduce noise and prevent unnecessary emissions, and turn them back on just before go time.
I remember getting a train back in 2021 and just as the train was ready to depart the external door to the carriage I was on didn't shut and it happened on the single line so the south bound trains and the north bound trains want to use the single line couldn't go anywhere and the guard spent about half an hour to sort the door out to the point where the train was really late and at the next station the door in question worked as it should
