WordPress is more than a publishing platform. It’s a powerful and empowering technology built by a global community of passionate contributors, united by the spirit of freedom; to create and share without barriers.
So the more real life example for: 4:24 - would be video - also from Developer Hours: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ndW-Kz0iDdY.htmlsi=zzfk3_SdC9B_O-X3&t=2288 For me - giving full control to end user is okay, but still would like to have e.g. button in toolbar to reset the position to default.
David fails to pay its employees. He hasn’t paid me for several months of work. I worked as a front-end developer for David and Cory - the CEOs of WP Zone (formerly Aspen Grove Studios and Divi Space) - for 7 years, starting in 2015. I was one of their first employees. Last year, due to "financial issues" within the company, I was not paid for several months. I agreed to defer my salary temporarily, but despite promises, I only received a portion of what I was owed. By the end of 2022, after repeated assurances that I would be paid after Black Friday-which never happened-I decided to leave the job. Since April of this year, both CEOs have completely stopped responding to my messages and even blocked me on social media. This is particularly frustrating given the years I dedicated to helping them build their business. As far as I know, they also owe money to other employees and business partners. Based on my experience, I do not recommend conducting any business with them.

Such a great video, thank you! I've used WP for more than a decade and have found the new fse so tricky, and there are hardly any tutorials available yet. Love this for its simplicity and I actually feel now like I have a clue about what's going on with it. Yay!
I could be alone in thinking this, but I find this "watch me futz around for an hour+" format to be very unproductive. If the goal is to educate, enable and inspire, then surely making a succinct tutorial after the futzing would be more appropriate.
@@AngusYoung412 just managed to get it up and running. But only with a fresh installation. On my existing WP installation, it doesn't find the files for the subdomain...
Having the toughest time designing a Responsive header using blocks. I want a simple header with a site Logo on the left and menu and search bar, both towards the right. I am able to design it using a row for desktop and it works fine but this completely breaks on Tablet/mobile view. The site logo becomes tiny and the search bar remains its size as it was on desktop. No matter what I do, unable to accomplish this. WOuld you be able to provide any inputs how I cand esign this or make a tutorial on this?
Does the Query Loop get cached or does the block make a call to the DB every time a user accesses a post it is configured on? What is the impact of the Query Block on the DB and thus on the response times? And as the number of posts increases, does the query loop slow down? Let's say I have 10k articles/blogposts, will the query loop block slow down the page response times?
By default, the Query Loop block doesn't implement its own caching mechanism. Employing pagination or limiting the number of posts displayed per page can help maintain performance, even with a large volume of content.
Is that possible to create custome table for selling data? like custom table include the customer id, id of product category .......? sth which there is not in the data base
Hi Ryan, I was able to build a block of my own based on the core blocks. It's working as I need it to. However, I have built this in a local WP env. How do I export this as a plugin (zip file or JSOn) so as to install this as a plugin on my live site? Thanks.
