Chaz: But how are we different than Zio if we follow The Great Light? Rune(face palms): The key is in the names. The Profound Darkness vs The Great Light. This isn't rocket science Chaz. One wants to destroy the world and other wants to save it. Chaz: I want to do my own will. Rune: How are you going to do that if the Profound Darkness destroys Algo, and you live there? You really haven't thought this through, have you!
TBF, Chaz does have a point on the Great Light being Sir Not Appearing In This Game and in being skeptical of its motives while Rune has lifetimes of memories fighting Dark Force and witnessing its omnicidal evil first hand... and thankfully realizing that Chaz doesn't have those experiences and taking him to meet Elysdeon to appreciate that this fight is for all the marbles where either the forces of Light win and finally destroy the PD or it destroys the rest of Algo like it destroyed Parma.
@@alphax4785 Maybe if Chaz's outburst had happened earlier when he hadn't already fought Dark Force, an embodiment of spiritual evil, multiple times, I wouldn't be incredulous that he didn't already realize he was on team Light and part of a battle bigger than he was. I guess mistrusting the deistic way the Great Light of PS4 set things up and left them makes some sense. Shouldn''t the Light and Darkness exist in more than just a physical location? Maybe Le Roof just didn't explain that aspect? Is the Profound Darkness more active in Algo to play catch up? Why would Chaz think following the force opposing darkness would be like following the darkness when he's already opposing the darkness and should know the motives for his opposition aren't the same as the motives of the darkness? With no indication that Chaz thinks Le Roof is lying about anything his idea of turning to shortsighted selfishness is pretty nutty if he knows the Profound Darkness will destroy Algo if not defeated. I do like the reveal of the origin story, and primeval conflict, a whole lot. It's Chaz's response I question. His "I don't want to be a hero," moment seems way later along the heroic path than I'd think possible. PS4 is definitely a great game though.
@edwardperkins1225 While I agree it is late, learning that you're facing the PD directly and the GL is somewhere else while EVERYTHING is riding on your shoulders to win or it's all gone is a heavy burden. It either could've been worded better or it was Rune's final test to see if Chaz would be ready to meet Elsydeon... and the Light side didn't pull its punches in its tests, I remember the first time I got to Re Faze (edited), deliberately chose the 'wrong' choice so I could stick him in the eye before reloading. Considering how Rune does take Chaz to meet Elsydeon and Chaz learns that it's not just him or even just him and his current companions, but all of Algo's champions going to defeat the PD together leads me to think it was a test whether Chaz was finally ready. But that's just my thought on it.
@@alphax4785 I can see the incredible pressure angle explaining some of it. The choice about Megid would be Re Face. Le Roof is just about the two explosions with no choices to speak of.
Thanks very much for the video. True to playing homage to the early dungeon crawlers this level was a total grind. Getting attacked every other step. UGH! It frustrated me to the point where I couldn't concentrate on the path I needed to take. So helpful that you posted the path to success.
Started playing the game again after playing on the gamecube years ago and I had to start again after returning to Alanjeh castle. I'll make good this time round
this dungeon was a real fking nightmare playing it on the switch remake version getting stopped every 2 steps.. took me 2 and a half hours to finish it. HORRIBLE.
I couldn’t of been the only one to try make the battles in the flashback era with Laguna and gang go on as long as possible to listen to that music track
Fe7 and fe6 need to be remade into one huge package game, we never got fe6 officially in the west and I feel if we could create connections between the two make things more interesting with scenarios I think that would be a good fire emblem to have. Especially with todays mechanics and what if scenarios.
For those who can’t get the falling mini game down, what you have to do is start holding left or right and pressing circle as the prompt comes up. Terrible design because our brain wants to read the instructions first but the game literally expects you to already be doing it as you read. Took me a bit to get it down. I swear this and the CPR mini game almost made me quit the game because it’s such terrible design and so archaic. I’m powering through though! I’m trying to get as far as I can myself then looking up RU-vid videos when I’m stuck or stumped. Good luck everyone!
This version was on Wiiware, but the only way you can get it now is if you can find the Final Fantasy IV complete edition on PSP or you can get the 3D version on Steam.
The very first time I tried killing him on this chapter was in Eliwood mode. I had exhausted all my characters’ actions save for Wil’s. With a heavy heart I had him attack and then….HE SCORED A CRITICAL HIT!
It was still called Dragon Warrior at this point, at least in NA. I'm not sure about Europe, but you are partly right in Japan it has always been Dragon Quest.
