I compared the charging cycles for the battery that’s similar to any phone’s battery. please note that i did not compare the physical making and structure of the batteries. :)
@@PITECH_07 No, am not talking about that either, sorry if I didn't convey my thoughts properly, all am saying is they way of charging and discharging of an ev is totally different from a phone's battery. The tech and hardware in an ev battery system is more sophisticated than a phone which increases the battery's life significantly.
@@udayprakka2426you're right but not completely, Ather's battery cells are Li Ion which exactly behave like a phone's battery unlike Nexon EV or other cars which use lithium IRON Phosphorus which is quite different and has much more longevity than Ather's Li-Ion, yes BMS is there and ofcourse it will hopefully last 3 times than a Phone's battery but that's it.
Which mode is good to ride with pillion..? Coz I found riding in smart eco and ride mode with pillion I need to throttle bit hard to get some normal 30..35 speed.. n i loose efficiency of ride.. while in sports mode i don't need to do that .. I tried using only in smart eco and ride mode I got max 60km range ( out of 90-75 true range of eco smart n ride ) that's for using scooter 5 days.. also i found every night i losse 3..4% of battery which sucks .. I don't use blutooth on scooter also
Hi anuj As per my personal experience. It’s better to use sport more or warp mode while there’s a pillion on board and you will not lose much efficiency as such cuz the scooter isn’t struggling as much as eco or ride mode to pull the load. And the battery drain issue overnight is very valid and there is no official issue of repair required. It’s normal and it’s verified by Ather itself since I’ve raised this concern to them in the past. I hope this helps
Is it normal for charger to NOT unlock when you want to disconnect the charger from the bike? Please suggest if it's a problem or a safety feature? Well, the problem with my Gen 3 is that the charger gets locked properly everytime I connect it and lock the bike but never unlocks once I want to remove it from charging. I unlock the bike but the charger is still locked and everytime I have to manually unlock it by pulling a pin behind front tyre.
India is still an emerging market for EVs. We still have a lot to achieve in this industry especially large-scale in-house manufacturing of EV components. China has already an edge in manufacturing these components, hence they are bound to have a head start in super capacitor technology.
when can we expect the physical expansion towards EV charging network physically, am talking about only Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states, please take this on priority bcos as a customer we are very eager to purchase the EV vehicles but the infrastructure has to build 1st to accommodate the EV charging, if you are looking into the major highways like Hyd- > Vizag- only one EV charging facility currently available with working correctly and if you take from Hyd -> Suryapet-> Khammam -> Badrachalam -> Odisha - ----> Not even one EV charging facility available, so please let the EV companies who are responsible on behalf of the customer know the more EV charging infrastructure develops, the more consumer you will find, Am having Hyundai Kona, I felt verify difficult while going the above-mentioned Highways, Please start to make a video or updates over the physical expansion towards EV charging network also..
For 20-80-20 rule you mentioned. Athers BMS is smart enough that it follows this rule. Usable battery capacity is always kept lower than full capacity so even if we charge 100% it's effectively 80%
Very informative. But I wonder how Toyota would be able to replace their ev batteries with supercapacitors, given the huge difference in energy density between the two.
