I once had an old honda Enduro that had a rusty tank .bought a kit called creame, 2 bottles one acid etching solution an a white silicon mix applied after etching . Worked great rust free after drying , the white silicon solution stays in place adhering inside gas tank .just like new. Nice job bringing it back to live. An other tip, add a little 2 stroke synthetic oil to gas while working on the start up . Thank again .
you may find an after market swing arm for that bike. later, if you rebuild it, change the inner crack seals or it won't run right. That may be why they parked it.
There are a few previous full length videos of the Rolls on the channel. It's been on our back burner build row until we can find another set of wheels.
We've got many vehicles and bikes to run again after sitting for extended periods of time; it just takes a lot of hours, patience, and the understanding of how it works. We had several weeks worth of time in this Suzuki.
We have it on the dash on the left side. We used a tractor ignition and key, the steering column was just temporary until we save up for a better column.
Guys used sell steering necks on chopper forums if they had a title for like 100 bucks. Have to admire your determination and persistence to lug all those bikes out the woods. Id have bribed a neighbor with tractor loaded or a bobcat to load all of that.
It's a girder not springer. That's not an Amen Savoir frame, it's probably an All Souls frame. Forking by Frank is well known for making extended fork tube's since the 60s and is still in business today.
i just got a t500 off of a guy sorta cheap. I never messed with 2 strokes so I'm having some trouble figuring out what oil to use for the motor and the gears.
After we brought it home and cleaned it up we didn't have it very long. It ended up selling to a person out of state and they redid the entire interior.
I meant to get back to you sooner but I had to get back to the desktop to check on our editing software to see what song it was. It's called "Cherry Blossom Special" by Global Genius.
This car is it's day when it was new was a very fine upper middle class luxury GM car. Top of the line in Oldsmobile along with the Toronado. I'm happy to see " youngsters " with this old car taking the interest in fixing it up.
We wanted to prove that you don’t have to restore something to get it running and can make it run with minimal new parts. No we didn’t have a lot of money to put into but that was the point. Not everyone has a bunch of money to throw into projects. If we didn’t have patience the bike wouldn’t be running currently. We spent hours getting parts unstuck. There is a second video update where we ride the bike.
That was exactly why we ended up getting this car was to learn about it and the special systems it has. It was on its way to be crushed, it's in rough shape. After getting this one we were able to fix 2 RR for customers. Nobody around our area will touch these cars.
Back in the 80’s my cousin brought a GT500 Suzuki 2 stroke. I think this must be the same. It was the first road bike I road. We road trail bikes for years. Lived in the country.
