Amazing wish I could be as close as you are to wildlife. In my country we only have roe deer and thats basically it :(

Wolves do not bark though, they howl, growl, whine and a few other sounds. This, is probably one of the dog Wolf mix, as they do tend to bark, as they have dog in them. I do not know why they dont bark, but I KNOW they dont.

There are not many wild wolves in Sweden so to hear and experience this is really something. Great post. Bet you were happy you had company. Would be a bit 'eerie' if you were in a tent on your own and heard this! I have heard, however, that fire tends to keep them away.

Couldn't it have been a farmer's dog? Dogs howl/bark too you see... (still 98% wolf dna).
