why dont you just change the hose out, buy a longer hose and replace the shorter hose so you can let the tank float and then go under little bit deeper. USE SOME hose mender fitters cut the hose then attach a longer hose with hose menders ..then some c clamps to make air tight. then you have longer hose...can attach the air hoses you can buy for longer hose..let the tank float.....
