Same thing happened to me while jigging for perch. Had 2lbs test and fought that musky for 50 minutes. Best battle I ever had. 40” musky got a pic and put her back in the water. I was just glad I had an 10” hole in the ice when jigging.
Dang I feel like you're getting a lot of hate in the comments when there are actual poachers out there. I had a guy yell at me for taking a picture too; I swear some people just want to butt in for no good reason. Cool vid, tight lines for you brother
Absolutely AWESOME Footage man!!!! Some of the best I've seen so far! Love the canoe and Fly combo, old school all the way... How was the stability of the Discovery canoe? Thanks again!!!
I used to live in North Bay Ontario as well when I was a kid from age 7 to 15 My parents also on what was called North Bay speedway it's been closed since 2003 and it's demolished I heard but they used to own that as well and I miss fishing on the lake in North Bay especially ice fishing catching massive muskie through a little ice fishing hole or pike and trout and bass and catfish. I caight a massive 35 lb catfish wheb i was 10 right near that boat ramp i believe looks familiar the area
Awesome catch…. My neighbor did the same thing years ago… (not ice fishing though).. He was perch fishing in a gravel pit with a tiny ultra light pool and 4lb line… Hooked a perch… reeling it in and 45” Northern hit it… barely hooked.. by the smallest piece of skin in the corner of the mouth… Fought him for over 5 minutes.. slow rolling him… Got him in though…
Not bitchin, but I watch videos to learn and hope to better my fishing skill. No sharing info of any kind is a waste of my time. Ain't in to just watching a bunch of people catching fish 👎
This is one of the greatest memories I have as a child on my grandfathers boat the Katherine J back in the 90’s. Won a few tournaments ourselves. Great times
Your fishing at my home town Of Trail BC, best trout fishing in the world on the fly. There is walleye there as well. The Columbia is fished all year round.
That's awesome. Ive only caught 1 pike myself. 1/3 of the size of that fish but mine was 3lb test as well. I remember it being camouflage color. Fishing for perch and other pan fish. Was a great memory. Beautiful catch from u guys tho
