I used to watch this all the time I don't think I ever saw Genevieve do a half decent room and Hildi seemed to use the show to do whatever 'she' wanted to do in someone elses home I can't imagine she'd ever do in her own Vern Yip really tried to make the home owners happy
This was always one of my favorite shows. Thank you for downloading all the episodes I’m just on my first one and that definitely look like the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey room. Holy cow and what a fire hazard with all that fabric drape down in the colors. Oh, please spare me, I think if I was them I would go in and just start ripping down all of those curtains😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😢😢😢😢😢😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤
These interior designers are a joke. It looks like a 12 year old kid did both of these rooms. There’s no way these women actually design for homes in reality. And what’s with this lady having such a problem with all things “Asian” and everyone just goes with it?? If anything, I’m glad they brought some eastern design into it- I don’t feel bad for her, to be honest, but both rooms are trash.
The woman said she Did Not Like asian Anything. Do that B- is Exactly what she put in there. She must think she’s Cute. Stupid B would not want to do that to my house.
If someone tried to get rid of my vinyl collection they would find themselves with two broken hands. Few questions, one did they really get rid of the vinyl collection or just put them in a box somewhere? And if they DID get rid of the vinyl collection what did your parents say when they found out? You have to be kidding, both sets of homeowners told the "designers" that Asian themes where a very very big no no and she STILL used it. I think the wife disliked it more then she said. Wait, she used non fabric paint to spray paint their couches on top of that that color makes my eyes want to bleed. It is Washington OF COURSE there was a high chance of rain, Washington like Oregon is known for the rain. Not to mention she is treating that carpenter like crap, as well as the homeowners, both the "designers" don't seem to interested in what the homeowners want.
Thank you for sharing this - I am so SICK of the grand budgets and beyond DIY stuff they show now - I like these do-able (if you like it) shows and they have more of the families and less of the hosts than the ones today --- so - thanks again for sharing it !!! :)
As someone familiar with the show this was a remake of (UK's Changing Rooms), it really feels like they amped up the drama for this American remake. The fundamentals of the show are still there, but everyone seems to be getting on everyone else's tits constantly lol
Thank you for uploading this! My friend and I used to love watching this show in the early 2000's when we were in college. It seemed like such a fun show to sign up for! (If you had a good sense of humor and didn't take the design of your house too seriously.)
my jaw has been opened for this entire video, I have gasped many times. I don't care what year it was these designers are tacky and always make these loud insane rooms and ignore any advice from the people who actually know the owners and just go ahead with their literal circus tent ideas anyway, they have no regard and just pick up and leave after. I hope after the show stopped running no one ever gave them a dime of their own money, because this is just reckless and absolutely tasteless, I am truly horrified.
I'm a fairly adventurous decorator, but, "I have to upholster my ceiling" is an absoulute, 100% HELLLLLLLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOOOO! 🥴 This show in general had decent ideas (At the BEGINNING of the series-NOT THIS EPISODE!). It became a Piss-Off-Fest to see who could make the most unliveable design in the end!
the way your mom tried so hard to honor your neighbors' Simply Unreasonably request for no asian prints in their house (really? you have plain walls and white floral prints and you're going to complain about japanese influence? that makes your house beautiful and modern? mm okay 🙄) and then they turned around and put you in the scary clown room...
Thanks for posting this! I loved this show, it was so wild. Even if the room was a mess, I can imagine what a fun story/memory this turned into for your family! Also...I've seen several episodes where Paige was just as worried as the contestants, like when she agreed that the pink spray-painted couch was bad. Was she also unaware of the "designers" plans? Seems odd for the host to have no clue also. Or was that just "acting"?
@@brianjtarr It shows! I love that she’s laughing at the end. I’m glad you guys had fun, it’s cool learning a little behind the scenes. Thanks for sharing!
I used to watch this program just to see the horrible reactions of the homeowners. It was seldom that the finished room was ever liked. Personally, I'd have gone to jail for murder if they'd messed up my house as they did so often on the show.
Yuk 🤢 circus living room and a very bad painted living room. What where they thinking, these style lists should really get there heads checked. Course 1. how to ruin someone else is property. Course 2. grab these so called designers and let them redo both rooms themselves.
I used to watch this show on occasion. These two designers were my least liked. Ha ha! Everyone has their personal tastes. I can’t stand it when they want to spray paint already beautiful furniture.
