Primarily sharing videos of days out in south-east England. Typically showing automotive and historic vehicles, plus places and events of interest. Let me know if there is any particular place, event, or location you might like to see and I'll consider covering it. Video equipment: Sony HDR-CX240E & DJI Osmo Action 3. [Up to 12th May 2024 Sony only, 25th May 2024 onwards Sony & DJI].
Thanks for your comment. I know my footage isn't brilliant but I wanted to share it as it does at least show how amazing this little aircraft and pilot are.
Thanks for your comment, I was in two minds as to whether it was worth posting. Always grateful for comments, good or bad. Best deleted would you say? I can see now that I was using far too much zoom for shakey hand held camcorder!
Fantastic scenery and sight of the Woodingdean Sunflowers you saw in recent times David 🙂. Excellent videography footage featuring the Woodingdean Sunflowers you saw in recent times 🙂. But David, I wanted to share with you an event that is to be taking place on the 26th August 2024, the event that I wanted to tell you about is the upcoming Bexhill 100 Classic and Custom Car Show 2024 event to tell you of things. I wouldn't have thought you were already remotely familiar of it but thought I dare might tell you about it anyway, it was Dave Brian who spoke about the event to me David if you wanted to know how I found out about it 🙂. All the best to you David 🙂. Do take care 🙂. From Foxy 🙂🙂🙂.
Hi Foxy, thank you for your comment. Glad you enjoyed the views and colour of the Woodingdean fields. Thanks for the info regarding the Bexhill event. I may well give it a visit. I know it's on during the Hellingly event so I could possibly do Hellingly on Saturday or Sunday, and Bexhill on the Monday seeing as the latter is just a one day event. They get a lot of cars there apparently so it sounds like a good show. All the best for now.
@@Wheels-Wheels-Wheels Hello David, I'm to be present at Hellingly on the Sunday 25th August 2024 just to say and the Bexhill event on the bank holiday Monday. All the best David 🙂. From Foxy 🙂.
@@Foxys-Collective-Videography Okay Foxy, thanks. Not sure about Hellingly yet as other commitments have come up regarding Sunday. Tomorrow's weather forecast not looking good so will decide in the morning. Monday, I'll aim for Bexhill I think [rather than Hellingly] as I've not been to the Bexhill event before, and there is the promise of many many cars on site. If I make it on the Monday I will of course look out for your good self and Dave Bryan. All the best.
@@Wheels-Wheels-Wheels Not to worry David. Hoping your Sunday commitments work out ok for you 🙂. Dave Brian is expected to be going and also a couple of other friends of mine I'm expecting too aswell David so you may end up running into them aswell. All the best 🙂. From Foxy 🙂.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the video. Sunflowers are so appealing and such a happy looking flower to cheer us all up. There are many local people looking at these on a daily basis so I am sure they are much appreciated.
Thanks for your comment. So pleased you enjoyed the video, many people in the area have been admiring this lovely display of sunflowers dancing in the wind.
Unusual for you to take videos like this but fantastic footage overall David 🙂. Looking forward to seeing the second part of your footage for whenever chance allows for you to upload it 😊. But beautiful looking sunflowers, I could have very easily or been much more likely to take a video like this and upload it onto you so seeing a video like this uploaded by you has certainly taken my by surprise, I have certainly got to say 😲😊. Thankyou for sharing this my good man David 😊. Do take care and all the best to you 😉😊😊😉. From your friend Foxy in Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox 😉😉😊😊😉😉.
Yes, I think green has always been favoured on the out of town buses. Our Coasters are blue & green to reflect the sea and green fields so predominant in the area.
Thank you for your comment. It's interesting to hear that you suspect there could be a Gasparini link! P.S. Can confirm that it is a Limonaire having just seen Peter Mackett's comment.
This brought tears to my eyes. Such a wonderful organ. Tremendously excellent and delightfully enchanted organ I must say. Thankyou for sharing this David, I sadly had to be absent from Tinkers Park because of preparation reasons for a family gathering party I'm to be attending on Sunday 4th August 2024, another one of the important preparations I had to do was practice a speech I'm supposed to give out to tell you of things. But really, thankyou for sharing this. Hopefully I can make the Tinkers Park event on Saturday 28th September 2024 but come Hellingly on the 25th August the day before the Bexhill 100 event on the 26th of the same month I shall be hearing a vintage organ for the first time in nearly a year which will be wonderful as I'm bursting to hear one and see one again. Thanks ever so much once again indeed for sharing this very video David 😊. All the best to you my wonderful bestie 😊. From your friend Foxy in Brighton, East Sussex, England, UK 🙂😉😉🙂.
Glad you enjoyed this video Foxy, I don't think we played it on any previous visits so particularly good to hear it this time. Hope you have a good time at your family event today.
Thankyou indeed David 🙂. I certainly did indeed enjoy this for sure 🙂. But interesting seeing all you had to so share. All the best to you my good man David 🙂. From Foxy 🙂🙂🙂🙂.
Kevin Meayers confirmed it's a Limonaire, there is proof inside the case, the auto changer mechanism will play the each tune three times before moving to the next one, there is a way to alter it so it just plays each tune once as the one at Amersham does. 1? 2. My Wife is on a Diet. 3. The Broadway Melody. 4? Scottish Reel.
Thanks for this information Peter. This was the first time I've had this organ running so will look at the barrel mechanism a little bit more closely next time. Would be good to have it playing each tune once then moving on to the next one. Should be back there for the open day in September.
You may well be correct, it doesn't say Gavioli on it anywhere but I had it in mind possibly incorrectly that it was a Gavioli. I'll investigate further and change the title accordingly. Thanks very much for your comment.
Thanks for your comment, glad you enjoyed the ride. I've always been impressed with these little buses, they have a decent ride quality and seem to be quite nimble. I'd imagine they are nice to drive to.
Glad you enjoyed seeing these old cars. This has been one of my favourite events for many years. I used to show my old Chevrolet Bel Air [1956] there and was delighted to win an award one year. The standard of presentation seems to get better every year too, any there's always something that will turn up which I have never seen before. Thanks for your comments.
Thanks for the video, David. It is great that you and Foxy both had fun there and got nice videos of the day. It was a splendid day for it weather wise as well.
Thanks for your comment. It was indeed an excellent day weather wise to go out and enjoy the sight and sounds of these old buses. Met up with Foxy too and managed to catch him a few times in this video.
Very nice, David, lots of cool motorcycles and scooters. My favourite one was the Scooby Doo one, as that is one of my favourite childhood cartoons =). Thanks, David =).
Yes that Scooby Doo theme was done really well, I'd be quite happy to get a car painted up like that. Have always adored metalflake paint and the colours. Thank you for your much appreciated comment. It's always good to get some feedback.
great to see a Southdown single deck Leopard just as i remember them in the 60's,that modern double deck on the so called coastal route is not a patch on what we used to have in the 60's when PD3s' used to rule the no 12 route, we used to have a small Southdown bus garage in Seaford and an office in clinton place, great days now gone,
Thanks for your interesting comment. Glad to know that you enjoyed the video, and it brought back those interesting memories. Where was the bus garage in Clinton Place, had no idea there was a small depot there?
4:28 Белый пикап Mini это, конечно, сильно ! 😁 Товарищи британцы, те кто в теме, скажите - неужели данная конструкция шла с завода или это кустарная переделка ?
It's a good one, playing well with a good selection of music. Regularly travelling to rallies and events in southern England. I've manged to catch it at three events this year so far too. Thank you for your comment, much appreciated.
0:00 Adieu, Meine Kleiner Gardeofficier. (Goodbye from The White Horse Inn) 2:56 Jollity Farm. 6:03 Durch Feuer Galop. 8:22 Leichtes Blut Polka. 10:56 Meine Kleiner Grune Kaktus. 12:31 Deutscher Marsch Perlen. (German March Potpourri) 17:15 Cuckoo Waltz. Did Jeremy Brice pull the plug at the end?, he hates that tune, lol!
Yet again you've come up with the titles in record time. I'm very grateful to you. Regarding the rather abrupt end, no it wasn't Jeremy pulling the plug, I couldn't see exactly but I think the book hadn't unfolded properly so jammed once it got to the rollers. Nothing serious.
0:14 Cuanta Lagusta. 3:03 Carnival Medley. 4:43 Amor de Mis Amores. 6:55 Lambada. You got my car in the video, LOL!, i really like this organ, it really suits up tempo music and always plays well, that is why i was at the keyframe for a long time yesterday.
Thanks again Peter. You really are a mine of useful information. Agree with you regarding the faster tempo pieces. Glad you enjoyed yourself on this one, there is a good selection and range of music.
No problem, it's always good to get people on camera. It adds a sense of scale and gives the viewer reassurance that there is actually someone around attending to and listening to these wonderful instruments. Besides, I can't risk my video getting forwarded to the Facebook page "Mechanicalorgans Entertaining Absolutely Nobody". Think of the humiliation of that!
Thanks for your comment Bill. These things are quite amazing for us to hear today but they must have seemed quite astonishing for people to see and hear back in the day. The days before amplified music. These larger organs kicked out the sound louder than live musicians could have produced too! Equally enthralling would have been the electric lighting for people to marvel at, whilst at home all they would have experienced were candles and oil/gas lamps. The travelling fair must have been such a magical experience.
@@Wheels-Wheels-Wheels extraordinary, I had no idea they were so loud! And the museum is on my list to visit, I have just become a member of Amberley Museum so I will be down Sussex a lot
@@Bills200 Amberley is great too, but I've not been able to attend some of their special event days since they have limited parking unfortunately. I don't do "advanced booking" for numerous reasons so have missed out. Oh, just to say that the organs are not a permanent fixture at Weald & Downland, just for this special event day. Possibly they have a steam day or two that might include some organs, but check their events list for that.
@@Bills200 Yes, I presume the programme still runs from there, the yard is set up and the signs etc are still there. The building & yard were locked up yesterday though and no sign of David Burville, their expert mechanical music etc repairer.
Thanks Peter. I seem to remember we had some discussion on the third tune before when hearing it at Hollycombe. It's a strange Kentucky themed piece. A bit of My Old Kentucky Home there in places I detect.
Thanks for your comment. This was one of many organs attending the event. I did not attempt to record everything though will be posting videos of another three organs shortly.
Thanks for that, I suspected it was a Steve Clarke book at it sounded very much like the skiffle book I heard on the A&R. I remember being at Parham one year while he explained the arrangement details for both that and his Locomotion book. Did another recording session of the Marenghi this weekend at the Weald & Downland so will get that up on here very soon.
Tune 1 - "Uber dem Ozean" (Over the Ocean) - Carl Frei. Tune 4 - "Pie in the Face Polka" Tune 5 - "Tequila" Tune 6 - Hasta la Vista. I can't remember the title of the march, i'll find out on Sunday as the organ will be there.
Wow Peter, that was quick! Many thanks. I will update description info accordingly. Have to say that there was a load of good music on this organ that I hadn't heard at all previously. Some fantastic arrangements too.
@@Wheels-Wheels-Wheels Mark has over 500 music books now and adding more all the time, he told me he could change the entire repertoire carried in the truck at least three times!
Thank you for your comment. Glad to read that you are enjoying my channel. After years of still photography I decided that there was always something missing...sound. So I moved onto videography following a chance meet up with Foxy313 for the first time who made the suggestion of creating RU-vid videos.
No Graham, sadly he didn't make it. He wasn't very well on Saturday either, said he had to rest for an hour or so whilst at the Hove Park Railway event. Thanks for asking about him. All the best to yourself and Fiona.
@@BaronFlyingClub Thanks for the compliment re this video. Foxy has written quite a lot explaining his illness so you might like to read what he said in my comments section to the "89 key violin baritone....etc" video.
