Bro this is a survival watch for extreme tough conditions. It's designed so and it's functions were developed in that way. You don't really need a G-Shock or at least not so tough. I'd like to recommend you something simpler like a DW-5600, cool watches for everyday wear.

It is just a very low cost general piece of bulk productions just to maintain the affordability. Otherwise I have a Komandiriske variant with the black dial. And it is one of the best timepiece I ever have. Because of it's design, which is completely purpose driven...after examining my time piece in details for the first time, I was really impressed to see how the time piece was made literally for all conditions...so, I was really surprised to see your video and want to know what were your expectations at this price point?!!!!😮
I have a Doxa 300t with the classic orange dial on the bracelet. Love the watch put it on a black nato recently. I did look at the seiko SPB453 and was unimpressed. The bezel action was terrible on the seiko. I have an SKX and it felt almost exactly the same and the bracelet was pretty unimpressive but overall better than what I have seen from seiko so they are improving. Glad I went with the Doxa even though it’s $600 more.

The mod world has its own laws. You can get a £200 kit to turn a £21 casio royale into a bronze cased sapphire crystal, or a £300 metal G shock. I love my kommandirskie and I love my casios. I don't think anyone buys a kommandirskie over a better watch, they buy them and also better watches - if you think the vostok is bad, you should try an HMT Sarna - a truly awful watch..................that I still bought

I really like the overall design and bracelet, don’t like the cyclops even tho I think it adds some kind of simmetry to the dial (if that makes sense) but at the same time I don’t really care for the gmt feature since I don’t travel that much (only on summer and not that many trips) and also not the biggest fan of the “mirror” effect on half the bezel (and I like this style of watch in black) so I went with the good iconic Citizen NY0040. Looks good with pretty much anything I wear, has a great size and works with a huge variety of straps/bracelets. So I’d say if you don’t really care or will use the gmt function there’s not really a poing of getting this model at all even tho I think it offers very decent value for the money you pay 😊
I don’t think a screw down crown on a gmt watch would be necessarily a plus tho but that’s just my personal opinion. The SKX and SSK are still different kinds of watch even tho they share a similar design.
To have a screw down crown would be better then not having screw down crown. right? Its not like they have to make it just for this watch they are using parts from the SKX. In fact they have to make a new crown that will not screw down. Most people will not even use the GMT if you look at people who own GMTs most have both times set the same.
@@TheNomadsLenswell, for me yes and no.. “yes” if I want that watch for divers use, “no” if I don’t really want it for that use at all as it’s much easier to set time and wind the movement without always having to unscrew and screw the time (not like I’d need to that everyday anyways). But I definitely respect and understand your points and I think they’re totally valid. No point of people trying to force you loving a watch that seems like it’s not 100% for your particular taste.
