A great video with some good suggestions. I am flying out on 7th October 24 and my first trip to Madeira. I got a good deal on a flight and now considering either a hotel in the lido area or an apartment in old town Funchal. What would you recommend? I'm only going for 5 days.
@@kaprunski thanks for your comment! Both Lido and Old Town have their advantages, Lido has a more holiday feel whereas the old town is more city break and you’ve got nightlife on your corner. If you did stay in lido though, it’s very easy by bus or taxi to get to the old town
That was a great city tour😊. As my grandkids live in Berlin I've been there several times and have seen a lot. But the Tempelhof tour was never on my list. Do you think that it is interesting for teenager too?

You're being FAR too generous... BA are simply harvesting cash from inherited brand and slot dominance.... In 2025, their service is unreliable, cost slashed, unhelpful and almost entirely unsupported when things go wrong. BA then go on to lie, delay and obfuscate over any outbound payment inc. costs incurred as a result of their failures...
Thanks for the comment John! Maybe if things went wrong I would have a different opinion, I wouldn't like to encounter the BA ground staff at LHR again if things had haha

@@555tg very similar to me, journeying down from Leeds, although I only transited in Miami and took an evening flight to Costa Rica after. Yeah, I must’ve caught the ground staff on an ‘off’ day, but credit where it’s due, the cabin crew on my flight were great

Shoot! Looks I’m going to have to get there very early then when I go Stockholm next Saturday. How will I know which line is Stockholm if they check all 3 flights at the same time?
@@LordMattyA87 the check in agents will be able to locate your booking based on your passport. Really common for airlines to have 1 line for check in and checking in multiple flights at once.
@@emilythomas3119 I loved Manuel Antonio, but Drake Bay and Corcovado is out of this world and was the highlight of my trip - especially if you want wildlife and to be off the beaten path. I’ve a couple of videos on my channel from Drake bay so feel free to watch them too :)
Great video, thanks. People love to moan about Ryanair and, it has to be said they don’t treat their staff particularly well. But if you think of them like a bus service from A to B, they’re fine. Have never had a major delay with them.
Thanks for this nice video. It brings back sweet memories as I studied Arabic in Jordan from 1989 to 1991. Amman is a great city, at that time nearly totally tourist free. Hussain mosque you showed at around 22:25 was my favourite mosque for friday prayer. Petra is incredible, have visited it may be five times. Haha, but I never made it to Ad-Deïr as I always was too tired after an exhausting wall in the heat. I miss 'Amman a lot. Last time I visited already long time ago in 2017. So many things to remember, such a beautful country, such friendly people. Wadi Ram was in 1990 totally unspoiled of tourism. It is a little bit sad now to see all this camps mushrooming there. Are you from Sheffield? My nephew and I have travelled to Snooker World Championchip often. Don't let it be taken away from you!
Watched this as due to travel LHR-SIN in upstairs economy on the 380 next month. Seems fairly similar to other recent BA longhaul experience (not on the 380). Friends in the airline tell me that the 380's are due for an interior refurb (similar to what the oldest 777's have had) but not till next year
@@kebond1 if you have a window seat upstairs it’s nice just having the 2 seats long haul, but I have read that the A380’s are due for a refit, it’s needed!
Literally just flew back from Majorca yesterday with Ryanair and we’ve never had a problem. Yes the seats are a bit hard but I’ll take that for a return flight to Majorca at the end of July for £32. Oh and if nobody has ever noticed, Ryanair spelt backwards is RianAyr 😂 ❤Ryanair
@@nikiferrari2091 return flights to PMI in July for £32, bargain! Can’t complain at that price and yeah the seats, it’ll do for a couple of hours. Got 4 and a half in one to Gran Canaria in September so we’ll see if I still feel the same 😂

Hello, great video and I have a few questions, do you think it would be safe for a male solo travel in Jordan? I would be renting a car from the airport to travel in Jordan, how hard is to flight out of Jordan to Egypt? Thanks for any info
@@erickc623 I travelled Jordan solo although did a tour, my time in Amman was spent solo and I felt safe, although I really would not drive anywhere in Amman on my own. Outside Amman I think driving would be ok. Flights from Jordan to Egypt, there are several daily flights between Amman and Cairo operated by EgyptAir and Royal Jordanian. Happy travels.
I heard they are tighter than last year with regard to baggage. Good to hear you could bring your small backpack for no additional fee . Some of your fellow passengers appeared to be carrying fairly large bags . Is Manchester friendlier than other airports ?
@@opagodaswirling9383 it’s luck of the draw with how strict Ryanair are at the gate, but I say play by their rules, make sure you’re in the limits and you’ll be fine. Ryanair do have fares where you can bring larger cabin bags on board - but you have to pay more for it. For a short trip I didn’t need to, which was also why I got the flight so cheap.
I love Ryanair and Manchester airport but dislike our public transport. I always arrive the day before for an early flight because i just don't trust them lol.
@@nicolepeters6660 funny, usually on public transport I’ve never had an issue until now, first time for everything though. I love staying the night before but for a 6am departure when there’s nothing on the roads at 3am it’s a bit of a waste, it’s invaluable for a departure between 8-11am, crossing the 62 at rush hour before a flight isn’t for the faint hearted!
Was leg/ knee room actually sufficient for your seat in economy during the entire flight? What's your height? I am hoping that I will not have leg and back problems
@@cprime9546 I’m 6 feet tall (180cm) and legroom was ok, just to note the window seats have the inflight entertainment box under the seat in front of you so this cuts into it a bit and can make positioning yourself when trying to sleep a bit awkward. It felt a bit cramped when the person in front reclined, although at that time I did the same and went to sleep too
@@maximusg88 usually I would drive but I was trying to keep costs down and I was also flying back into Liverpool Airport so parking and collecting the car would be a bit of a mate. There was no coaches over sadly, I looked last min when I found out the train was cancelled. Thankfully TP Express have compensated me for my taxi too after I wrote to them
@@KevinvanDun totally agree Kevin, so long as you’re within their rules for bags and stuff, it’s a convenient way to get around and I find Ryanair often serve routes other carriers wouldn’t!
Indeed. Kevin paid a great low fare for his trip but he obeyed FR's rules and must have booked well in advance. FR earns about 50% of its revenue from all its extra charges and fees ... it's a new way of conducting airline business !
Hi Joe, just stumbled upon your account (or this video to be fair) by sheer luck & algorithm but it is really nice! Just answering your question on why you were flying the latter part of your flight at 21000 feet. this is partially due to the fact that the departure and arrival traffic for amsterdam just cross your path. the arrival from the south of europe crosses the port of rotterdam (i'm writing this comment from the area with the greenhouses above the waterway) and most departures to the south cross the eindhoven area. they just put you down to 21000 feet so they do not have to descend you through the already busy airspace. Subscribed to your channel! if you ever get the chance try and give 'my' airline Transavia a shot! see how you like their low-cost product.
@@lejovanmil1731 thanks for the explanation! That makes sense, did seem odd to climb then immediately descend and level off! If im ever that way or needing an insta-Europe flight I’ll look at Transavia, they don’t have much presence in the uk though!
You did a great job capturing Koster and Strömstad! Always been one of my favourite places to visit. There is just something special about Koster, you are just so relaxed when you are out there. Incredibly beautiful place. Last visit a few years ago me and my dad got the chance to go lobster fishing with a local in his boat and it was amazing. The night before a very nice local invited us to a music event they held that evening, nice to meet such welcoming people on such a small island out in the sea.

Ah, so idyllic! I'd seen videos of Vaxholm, for instance, and it's just wall-to-wall tourists, no sense of the regular everyday life on the islands themselves. Moja looked to be a brilliant choice! Thanks for the video!
@@KozMc thanks for the comment! Yes Vaxholm does get a lot of tourists so I’d highly recommend some of the other further out islands for a quiet and more authentic experience. Moja was perfect for us, had that laid back island life feel but also a couple of bars and supermarkets for amenities!

hi whats up. Did you check in a bag on this flight? Were they strict with the weight> How would you rate the flight from one to ten you check in a bag on this flight?
I did check a bag, it was checked all the way through to San Jose and I didn't need to collect my bag in Miami either. My bag was way under the limit (probably 12kg) but I would always stick to the weight limit as any airline will most likely charge. Bag drop at Heathrow wasn't easy, the machines kept erroring out and ground staff were very unfriendly that morning.

What was poor about the in-flight entertainment? I flew BA 747s to and from India a few times over a decade ago, and it looks way better than what we had then. Can you explain why you think it is poor? How many film choices did you have? Games? Podcasts? TV? Did everything work okay?
Indeed, although I do like to capture travelling to the airport and the experience of the airport. But you’re right, and lacklustre is a good word to describe the product 😂
Honestly. the food in the Bistro is okay for what it is. But seriously overpriced. The 7/11 stuff is just as good and most assuredly a bit cheaper. Personally, i'd go down to the Coop on the bottom level of Stockholm central and purchase snacks/food for my journey. A lot better prices. Just a little tip for fellow traintravellers

Love Gothenburg also nicknamed little London bcs of its close ties to England. The town ha plenty of sights you must have missed but you can always come back 😀 Ahh Ullevi, I was actually there for one of those Bruce Springsteen concerts in 1985, Born in the USA-tour. Bruce is back every year to Gothenburg it seems . Swedes love him! For midsummers eve most people try to leave town and go to the country side or at least go to a park.
