Formerly the Allambie Heights Uniting Church on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Humph Hall is now the home of Wayne Richmond and Gial Leslie. Strictly acoustic (unplugged) concerts are regularly held there with artists from all over the world.

September 29, 2024 On John Munro’s birthday, raising a toast, listening to, and remembering this extraordinarily talented musician: Brilliantly skilled guitar and mandolin player, powerful and creative songwriter, wonderful lead and sweet harmony singer, producer, organizer and arranger who shared his love of music so generously, passionately, and delightedly. Best of all, a man with a beautiful gentle spirit who was bright and always interested, kind, witty, enthusiastic, friendly, loyal, and open hearted. Condolences and comfort to his family and companions.
I was already a huge fan of this man for 10 years when I first attended a concert of his at the Woodford folk festival in the late 1990's. An exceptional musician and perhaps one of the top 3 songwriters of our generation, and yeah, how can people sit still when he plays. It is totally beyond my comprehension how/why he isn't a household name. Maybe his is to make our "Footsteps and Hearbeats" a little bit lighter.

Thanks Wayne and the Humph - great venue. Allowed me to revive a character of mine from old ABC Radio days, based on the much-loved film reviewer John Hinde. The real John, sadly no longer with us, enjoyed the character and said his only problem was that I was "too good" - people thought it was him.

How are we going to keep planting thousands of trees in our suburbs when our blocks are getting smaller and smaller allowing more dual occupancies and home units to meet the new mid to high density requirements and laws ?
Sounds like liberals did not agree to the woke agendas but supported sensible motions . Branding them as divisive because they espouse traditional values as opposed to the other councillors views is rather hypocritical. Who is really being divisive there ? ..it’s also hilarious that some of the councillors tell us that not having liberals in the council ,( therefore less diversity) it will be more balanced ! What an inversion of reality.
