Thanks for this. I'm installing Eibach PTC and PTR's this weekend and I was dreading taking everything apart like the Eibach instructions suggest. I can do it but man, I'd feel like I was racing the sun. This is much quicker.
Hey guys - thanks for a great vid. Now a year later in hindsight do you still think the SRC is a decent buy? We have just sold our motorhome and are looking seriously at the SRT19. It is just the two of us. Appreciate your comments. Is there anything else out there you think we should consider at about the 80-90k mark. Cheers.
I have a 2023 Nissan Armada. Basically, Patrol version for US market. It started making loud noise while running. No specific pattern.. just happens. Took it to dealer and I couldnt reproduce it there. So i took videos and sent it to dealer. Not much was happening so I opened a case by calling Nissan Consumer Affairs. I told my dealer and Nissan that there r many folks having this issue and all point to fan clutch. Dealer kept my car for 2 days to run tests and confirmed that its fan clutch making loud noise. But at the same time mentioned it to be normal as its supposed to kick in to keep engine cool. But there was no explanation on why fan clutch would kick in and stay engaged for long time. I requested Nissan to keep looking and not call it normal as no car would randomly start making loud noise for such a long time. Dealer finally informed me that they want to replace fan clutch and are now waiting on Nissan to give go ahead. Nissan seems to be dragging its feet by saying that they still cant verify because dealer too wasnt able to reproduce loud noise that remains on for long time. Plenty of folks in the US have uploaded same loud noise videos. Few got fixed after fan clutch replacement while for some, it started happening again. Appreciate if you could provide any further info on below points: 1) is your car still working fine and how long it has benn since u got it fixed... 2) you mentioned that ur dealer was aware if a technical bulletin. Is it something you could get from him please.. a link or something.. 3) interesting to know that ur dealer thinks it may have something to do with some part getting wet. Is it possible to get more details on what exact part was that.. Sounds crazy that this video is from one continent, and I am reaching out to you from a different continent and I already see a comment from someone in 3rd continent! Amazing. Thanks for uploading this.
Mate, your van you bought is definitely not designed to go off bitumen, is made in China and mostly assembled there then shipped to Australia to be finished off with appliances and most people do not realize this - DEFINETLY BUY AUSTRALIAN BUILT AND MADE HERE - DO YOUR HOMEWORK BEFORE BUYING
In having the same problem. Nissan telling me it’s normal. Pigs ass it’s normal. How did you go getting it sorted ? What did you tell them to get it sorted ?
I’m in the market for a caravan (totally new to it never had anything before) we are thinking 18-21ft off road. Is there any brands that you would recommend that would alleviate these issues? We have had a terrible time with our boat (32ft) since we bought it and really just want a good off the shelf product that doesn’t become another project. Thanks 😊
Unfortunately not, on our travels and over the last few years we have heard it all!! Heard things about all the big brands as well which is very sad as the money you spend on higher “build quality” does not reflect in the actual product! In all honesty i wouldn’t expect to have a trouble free caravanning. Just find one you like and go for it.
Better to just upgrade to a larger single battery and forget about all the extra hoops of a dual battery set-up. For those thinking that your ski will actually charge any battery you are mistaken. The charging systems on these machines are so weak they can barely maintain the status quo. Plan on using a tender between uses.
I went dual and separated the 2, 2nd was a back up only to start the ski if the first one ended up to flat to start the ski somehow. 1 big single battery is no use to you if its flat.
@@OurAdventuresDownunda No guarantee the second battery is not toast. You still need to gauge your electrical draw/reserve beforehand and charge between uses. Think about the reason why there are so many jet ski battery failures...
Glad you are still kickin. Really dig your new ride. I watched your video 10 minutes after it uploaded, just couldn't say "Hi" on TV. Heck yeah, send us more content. Cheers TJ
Nothing is made for hard wheeling you gotta make it yourself for hard wheeling.. and i have seem these thing made into absolute off-road animals. Plus they are a very iconic 4x4
Our previous caravan had that torsion suspension. That suspension is fine for European roads and for people who take short vacations. That’s my opinion but I’ve had many disagree saying it’s perfectly suited for Australian conditions. Well after 3 years we sold that caravan and upgraded to a true semi off-road. It’s not independent suspension but heavy duty leaf. 2 years full time on the road it’s been amazing, Leaves the torsion suspension for dead.
@@OurAdventuresDownunda pretty much. Like most things…opinions on social media you need to take with a healthy dose of salt. Honestly in regard to travelling around Australia and general caravanning etc I would say 50% of what people call gospel is total horse shit.
I have always loved the 79 and never been able to afford one.. figured if not now then i never will so i just went for it mate and i absolutely love it hey honestly my dream vehicle..
@@OurAdventuresDownunda exactly the same with ours, always wanted one, we had to get something to tow our rally car and horsefloat, does it without a sweat
You don’t do RU-vid to make a living from it. It’s a delivery medium for the majority of content makers to highlight items they sell or work they do. One suggestion I could make to you is keep your posts shorter. 12-15mins tops
I’m pretty confident caravan dealers and manufacturers have a strategy that the first time you bring your new caravan back with issues, they deliberately do a crap job so you will never go back to them. Pretty smart strategy huh.
Incredible footage mate. That shark was next level! Heading here in a few months - what number camp site did you have at North Lefroy if you can remember? Looked prime!
