Yes indeed. Doppelmayr (Austria) and Garaventa (Switzerland) merged in 2002. Since then, the majority of cable cars have been sold internationally under the Doppelmayr name. The exception is Switzerland, as Garaventa was originally a Swiss company. That is why you will find identical systems in Switzerland as from Doppelmayr, with the difference that these are called Garaventa.
@@davidbitterli7668 No I know that, but still, isn’t this mostly Doppelmayr’s technology? I mean their lifts looked really similar to this all the way back before they merged while Garaventa’s lifts looked completely different
Hallo Michi Doppelmayr hat bei der D-Line auch auf Technik von Von Roll gesetzt. Zudem ist die Schweizer Firma Garaventa Bestandteil der Doppelmayr-Garaventa Gruppe. Somit ist es durchaus berechtigt die Bahn als Made in Switzerland zu bezeichnen... Ebenso sind die Steuerungen und Sicherheitssysteme alle von der Schweizer Firma Sissag entwickelt worden.
