I am not sitting back anymore. I am so tired of listening to so much propoganda about how human beings should be. The only thing that is stopping this world changing is us allowing the agressors to take over and bully us. I have never allowed bullies to bully me. But I have chosed to stay out of main stream life because of the difficulties it brings processing all the negative information thrown at me. Not any more. I reject the toxic and embrace the love. We all need to start doing that. Our tribes used to do this in their smaller groups. We need to do this now across the world and stop the people who lack empathy and compassion exploiting the rest of us. Aquarius is rising and with that a more feminine energy. And sensitive men embrace that feminine energy and use it alongside their male energy. This will lead us to a more balanced and beautiful world. Well done for putting this up. I am standing alongside you. :)

Before seeing this video, I was convinced my personality profile, at least in part, aligned with attributes of Highly Sensitive Persons. Hitherto making my comment here, I only watched the video once, and have this observation: The production and videography were exemplary, however, I was surprised that the tone and narrative was so melancholy (in my view). It felt to me as though I were watching/hearing The Highly Sad Man trailer, instead of Highly Sensitive (as I understand it). The ethos felt sad to me. Did anyone else perceive a sad or melancholy mood to the narrative? If so, how well does it jibe with your own understanding of the Highly Sensitive Person construct? Thank you.

I didn't, but now that you mention it, I shall attempt a response - one man's perspective. As we, as a matter of being without trying, dwell in the depths further than most folk, and as we were more about 'problem addressing' and 'wound healing' and 'joining thoughts and learning from each other' and 'going forward from where we are now in each of our lives' (far more than about what most people would call 'celebrating') we proceeded accordingly, neither proud nor ashamed, but just being. Strangely enough, or not, there was not a lot of laughing or weeping in our sessions - very calmed and reserved for the most part, that's not good or bad, just being. Yes there were some lighter moments at the coffee shop and the dining table, but not all of us are the most gregarious folks in the world, and we need our 'down time' to process so some of us ate alone and no one else thought anything about it other than making sure we were ok, and for some of us, 'light stuff' (weather? watching sports? auto shows?) can be clutter and distraction and temporary avoidance of 'things and people that matter'. Of course the coffee shop and dining hall are missing from the three following online conferences but we're glad for the body language and tone of voice we do receive thru zoom until this virus subsides, as Dr Tracy carries on this work, because although things may start slow, they can still grow with persistence. Maybe these next thoughts will help a bit about Highly Sad - as I value understanding far above agreement. To most people, the music of Johannes Brahms is sad, dark, melancholy, deep, gloomy, sorrowful, and even depressing. It is none of that to me, it is absolute beauty, and if I am moved to happy tears or happy sobbing I am thrilled. If you listen to the first minute of the second movement of the second symphony, a few notes are worth a thousand words. In contrast, Mozart, prior to the C Minor Mass, is too frothy, too bubbly, too glitzy, too fizzy, 'too many notes' - you get the idea. I don't need coffee, I don't need stimulation, I despise bass drums beating in my chest like a second heart in arrhythmia (not to mention the midnight fireworks a couple of nights ago), but I generally need soothing, good parasympathetic stuff. Yosemite and Tahoe have far too many people. so I go to Lassen! I love the outdoors and I despise competitive sport because I suck at it, so I do my competition in table games. As for places like Disneyland, it's OK in small doses but I'm not a big fan. Mind numbing drugs are out of the question - the side effects were horrific and I'm not going back there again. Our higher sensitivities also express themselves thru the limbic system which remembers everything that has an emotional tag on it. My mother told me I was too deep, and another time to smile for the camera as I didn't have anything to be unhappy about. That wasn't the worst of it but it's enough for here and now. I've forgiven her as I realize she too was only human, had her own wounds and pains (obviously if she didn't want to deal with mine - hurt people hurt people) and am no longer ashamed of my emotions, and they are no longer stuffed and repressed and festering. Just today I read about Betty White's (total stranger to me) last word being "Allen", the name of her husband who died in 1981, as if she was seeing him, or as if he was meeting her on her way, and I burst out sobbing, choked up briefly, as my late wife would say, 'it touched me in my feelings'. At the end of the movie Titanic I was a slobbering snot mess from my response to all the dead bodies floating in the water because my mind told me it was real not fiction. So unlike many of my friends who watched that movie 11 times and couldn't get enough of it, once was more than enough for me, and we disagreed agreeably, and no big deal with disagreeing. Our next online zoom conference might be sometime around May or June. Blessings, K

I maybe a "highly sensitive person" if i'm not, interested in being in a crowd of people i know or don't know, because i feel like I'm being judged or talked about. You see i am a "Libra" and when my scale is of balance i will move away from that environment. Thank you Mr. Harper telling me it is ok. HSP, is a Treat not a Bad thing. God Bless and Please Be Safe

I have followed and read hsp for years. i found it comforting to have some compassion for that part of me, and also disconcerting that knowing that about my self didn't change the the amount and or quality of the hurt reaction I deem is from trauma. I'm now working with some thing that I think can touch that. I hope you'll consider this as an adjunct to your studies. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pplRt2OA8N4.html

WOW! WOW! WOW! Will - You hit a grand slam! I just loved what you did with the film short. How you wove the clips together, told a dramatic story, but finished on a high note with lots of smiles. So perfect. It was very engaging and well-crafted. John Hughes Author, IT Entrepreneur and Executive Placement Officer

Thank you, Dr. Tracy. I am happy and thrilled to be apart of the HSM team. You, John Hughes, Tom Falkenstein, and I will lead the charge for Dr. Elaine Aron's remarkable discovery of this innate trait. It has undoubtedly changed my LIFE FOR THE BETTER. I am even happier to see MEN owning the trait as it is a profoundly smart thing to do because Highly Sensitive Men will make an indelible imprint on the world at large.

Hi Will, Thank you! I have the promo and will run it Monday on all of my social media and begin sharing it to other large social media groups on FaceBook for highly sensitive people. Every time I watch your promo I am still a bit saddened that I was not able to attend. I knew at the time that I would be missing something special and I think I was right. The show DID go on though and glad it did! Now, we can build on that foundation and continue to bring more men into our seminars over time. Thank you for all of the amazing work you put into these films and promos! Film reaches people with an incredible immediacy that written words alone cannot. We are so very fortunate! Kind regards, Tracy Assistant Professor Ed.D. in Leadership in Higher Education - Baker University School of Professional and Graduate Studies.
