Hello! I'm Ruth. Welcome to Hanks, Maker Mentor. I'm here to help learn to use your Cricut machine. I love to create. I enjoy the challenge of learning how to do new things so you will see a variety of ways to use your Cricut. I also offer group classes and one on one coaching.
Your explanations are nice, everything is fine. Why don’t you put an Arabic translation? For example, we Arabs watch you and it’s difficult for us to understand everything from you. If you put a translation, it would be fine.
Your video is great! Slow enough to understand and get exactly what you are saying and doing. But I also want to know where did you get your white vinyl holder at? Lol
I’ve been trying to get my watercolor paper to stick to the mat for a while now and even tried using a brand new mat. I have the watercolor paper that you showed in this clip but it just won’t stay on the mat. I just bought some strong grip mats and I’m hoping that it works when it comes in the mail, but if not could you do a video our little short thing on how you get the paper to stay on the mat? I would be so thankful! 🥹 All I’m wanting to do is to create my own watercolor coloring pages/cards.
i recently bought the cricut joy, but i am struggling with the cricut access payment option, only with a credit card 😏, and can i also upload the images from Google or canva in cricut design??
Why do the colors change to only one color when you hit Attach? What if you wanted to print or use Draw instead of cutting? It would show as only one color instead of two. 🤷♀️
It would be better if they worked on the design space to be allowed to print and cut full A4 pages. The mark restrictions for print and cut are a waste of paper! If I can cut a silhouette as full A4 paper, why not cut an image in full A4 paper? Is ridiculous!
Oh my gosh...I wish ALL RU-vid videos were like this one. STRAIGHT to the point, easy to understand, and completely helpful!! THANK YOU!!! Instant subscribe!!
Hi! Thank you for the info. I am looking into becoming a contributing artist. This would actually be my first time selling my art. All the art I have I previously used for my kid's sticker business. Since I am new to this I want to make sure I understand how to prepare my images properly for submission. My understanding is they need to be single SVG files, not a lot of small detailed cuts, and completely original. Anything else I should know? Thanks again! :)
Hello i have the explore 3 and im designing in my design space and I don’t have the option standard so the box is around for the cricut can recognize. Its a cut up box instead
didnt see my question here it is again i need to know what files i should be using to get my printer to mirror and how do i find them and how do i change them ...Thanks
ok im having the same problem as the other person i followed your instructions and no mirroring ..what file type should i be using and where do i find and change that...Thanks
Typically for sublimation you use png files. jpg is also a common option. There are plenty of others. Ideally you would find or create a file that is already one of those types. There are websites that convert files to other types but you generally lose some of the quality. What types of images are you trying to print mirrored?
Why don't they add some meaningful changes instead of pretty useless ones? It would be nice to know HOW to assemble some of these projects instead of just throwing all the layers up there and then not knowing what to do with them.
Thank you for this! I have found it very difficult to know what exactly has been updated as release notes seem very generic. Don’t know if you already do videos about functionality issues (bugs) but have you noticed anything wrong with “undo” - this is the main undo function. I have noticed it taking a very long time, then when you think it’s finished, it hasn’t actually undone the last change until a few new changes in, the undo I had hoped to do takes effect. I’ve done all the usual recommended: cleared cache, saving regularly, reload/force reload, quit & reopen. I even uninstalled & reinstalled. I have also reported this a few days ago but was hoping others would be sharing on RU-vid. It did seem a bit better today with the newest update 8.19 not fully fixed. Thanks again!
I've done a video showing how to report bug fixes. I'm out of town so I haven't even opened DS this week. I hope the undo bug gets properly fixed soon!
These are nice and clear instructions but my pop up box when I click on printing preferences looks different than yours. i've since gone through every tab and still can't find a check box to turn on mirror. So frustrating.
@@HanksMakerMentor Thanks for replying, I went back and tried again right from adobe. I was trying to mirror the PDF and when I clicked on print from the adobe app, I found the pop up printing preferences that you show in the video. Found the check box for mirroring and succesfully got the job printed.
Any use of chemicals needs to be an informed decision by an individual. What is fine for me might not work for someone else. I looked at the Material Safety Data for VLR. Skin is probably less of concern and might need medical attention. It can cause 'serious eye irritation' and you need to receive medical attention. Here is a link to the info albachem.com/content/SDS/1020.pdf
@HanksMakerMentor hello I bought this printer and converted it to sublimation Inc. and my first few prints turned out fabulous and then now I am having vertical lines through my prints. I have watched many videos and tried many things to try to fix it. I hope you can help?
Hi, I found this on line: Run a nozzle check to see if any of the print head nozzles are clogged. Then clean the print head, Vertical lines on inkjet printouts are usually the result of dirt or debris in the print engine interfering with the travel of the print head. I hope this help.
