You’re given a time to be back to the ship. I do not feel sorry for these people. They should have had a watch. The one’s that I truly feel sorry for, as the one’s that had to wait for the irresponsible people. Costly lesson. I bet that they never do this again.
How difficult can it be to get back to your ship by, say, 4:30 pm, for a 5:00 pm departure? What else is more important that making it back on time? Shopping? Carousing? Being immature enough to ignore the time? Hmm? The ship has a departure time for a reason, and passengers are expected to be back on time, or be left on shore.
That that is really cool seeing the ship's shadow as proof that it is moving, maybe if they had regular shoes instead of those disposable flip-flops they could make it.
The water was warm to us, but not "heated pool" warm. People were lounging in it all day, so definitely comfortable enough for a swim/float. Feel free to contact me if you'd like to chat about your Sandals vacation: Alex@TravelGuyTravel.com
That's why they always have a shore excursion briefing on every cruise. They always say keep your watchs on ship's time to make sure that EVERYONE is back ON TIME.
We just transferred to this room today for our November sailing! So excited! I saw another video of this room with several more chairs added to the balcony. Hope it's that way or will ask for a few more (there are 3 of us in the room).
Thanks for your videos I’ve always enjoyed them especially the ones where you have done cabin tours on cruise ships and some of the resort videos, do you have any resort videos from Montego Bay Jamaica, Cancun Mexico, St. Thomas USBI
Haha. This is why my wife and i get off early in the morning on port day, wonder around and shop till we’re satisfied then we get right back on the ship haha back onboard by 1pm eating lunch on Lido
5 years ago and it has the same Decore… there was a rabid raccoon lived in a tree outside our room.. we requested towels at 8 am and didn’t get them until the next day.. not delivered we saw a maid and her cart.. no food or snacks after a certain time.. disappointing very disappointing.. I’ll do to secrets Jamaica or Mexico before I’d go back there..
Thanks for the great review. Instead of going through the water and hopping the wall to get over to the bar, were you able to get to the walkway from your back patio where the curtain is closed? 🤔
Yes. You have to step over some landscaping, but it's pretty easy. Thank you for the comment and question, Tamie. Fee free to contact me if you'd like some help booking your next Sandals vacation! Alex@TravelGuyTravel.com
Unless we are on a ship sponsored excursion, we are always back on board a full hour before the recommended time. Sometimes the pilot boat will run people along side who miss the ship. But, I've been told it can cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars for them to do it. DON'T BE LATE.
It's just like those people who check in late for a flight. The aircraft might still be sitting on the tarmac but once the flight status is closed there's a whole lot of cabin and cockpit procedures that have to be gone through. To open up the flight again would mean cancelling all of those procedures and having to start all over again which could result in a delay of several hours. Accidents happen, but there are those people who think the rules don't apply to them and as long as they get what they want they don't care about the inconvenience they've caused to everyone else. I think it's great to see this type of person come unstuck, and I hope the learn a lesson for the future!
They have deadlines and company rules. The captain can only wait so long before he runs afoul of one or another. And sometimes it's the port, itself, with that dock contracted to another ship beginning at a certain time.
