Steven Kwan is another reason why baseball is so awesome! You don’t need to be born as a physical freak of nature to play baseball. Any kid can have a dream to play!
not much makes me happier than watching Kwan work the count, maybe even get down in the count, get it back to 3-2, foul some tough pitches off then shoot a single to left
Boy he reeeeeeally has trouble with the opposite-field flares from lefties 😂 ball is tailing away from the left fielder, he just can’t get the hang of it.
The Phillies are lucky that Harper decided to play 1B so they dont need to have Schwarber fielding anymore...since he can't catch or throw. They actually won a lot more games once this happened since popups into left field weren't extra-base hits half the time...
Got any more?? Lmao....I remember a play in extra innings while with the Cubs in the rain. He bobbled it in short left, then kinda flicked it to second base but way over the 2nd basemens head into right field. He was charged with a double error on the play, and It cost them the game. He was slipping and slidding all over the place. REally funny. Wish that one was in this, but great compilation of funnies.
Here's how I'd score each one : 1) ITPHR 2) Single, batter/runner advances to second on fielder's choice. Runner scores on throwing error. 3) ITPHR 4) ITPHR 5) ITPHR (balls lost in the lights are generally not recorded as errors) 6) ITPHR (failing to make what would otherwise be a good relay/play generally aren't recorded as errors) 7) ITPHR
@danieltaz2011 Well, if you're keeping stats in little league, you're doing it for fun. There is nothing "official" about it. When stats are official, this is how you would score them - or how *_I_* would score them. Feel free to score them however you want. And for the record, these are MLB games; not Little League....... Also for the record, I scored 6 of the 7 examples as home runs.....so....that would be a vast majority.......same as you.
I think the umpires do a pretty good job with high and low strikes. The boxes are sometimes not accurate. However, the inside and outside strikes are too often incorrect. The boxes for those are pretty good.
Nah - by my count, only the second one was an error. Balls lost in the lights, mishandled relay throws on what would otherwise be close plays aren't errors. Balls that careen off the wall at unpredictable angles are not errors. I'd give them all home runs except for the second one. The second one, I would record a single, advance to second on a fielder's choice, and then advance to third and home on a throwing error.
