Congrats buddy. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (not just psychedelic ones) There are so many people today using magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.

Can you help me with the reliable source 🙏. I'm 56 and have suffered for years with addiction, anxiety and severe ptsd, I got my panic attacks under control myself years ago and they have come back with a vengeance, I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't get the full satisfying breath out, it's absolutely crippling me, i live in Germany. I don't know much about these mushrooms. Really need a reliable source!! Can't wait to get them

I'm so very happy for you mate, Psilocybin is absolutely amazing, the way it shows you things, the way it teaches you things. I can not believe our world and our people shows less interest about it's helpfulness to humanity. It's love. The mushrooms heals people by showing the truth, it would be so beneficial for so many people, especially politicians and the rich who have lost their way and every other persons out there.

My family of origin has kept the alcohol industry in business for generations. There's a few of us who don't drink or drug, but we're in the minority & we're estranged from the family members who have actively followed in the addiction life. Thank you for this explanation about anger. It explains so much.

i was dating a guy in winter of this year and he was showing signs of alcoholism. broke up with him bc i just didn’t feel safe. based on these comments, i am really glad i did. i felt awful at the time, bc i knew his struggle was a sensitive topic. i tried my best not to hurt him, but he was very angry with me. i just couldn’t bear the thought of his drinking getting out of control ten years down the line when we were married. i didn’t want to have to protect any potential children from that. so while i have compassion for him, it was best to let go.

This is not true for all alcoholics. My grandfather was an alcoholic and never got overly angry at anyone. Explain this? Many I have seen do get angry to the point of causing problems. Even friends of mine and other relatives. I don't get nearly as angry when I drink but I also don't do it all the time nor have I ever had a problem.

Drinking enhances emotions not dampen it … if you’re miserable the liquor will enhance the misery etc - it’s rare I ever met a happy drunk .. thank you Jesus for making me nauseated by the smell and taste of liquor - can’t imagine having your poison of choice on every single street corner - I lived near a liquor store and it was always busy from the second they opened until they closed …. I wish liquor was illegal

I really appreciate you making this video, I struggle with bipolar and alcohol and I'm not proud of it, but I also don't get angry when I'm drunk, i get happy and overly talkative, but I understand others may not experience that and can potentially be abusive. And I struggle with it, alcohol, but if it ever started bleeding into my loved one's lives, i would assess myself and where I'm messing up and going wrong, and I would be more than happy to adjust. I understand other people are not the same and may have a different perspectives or brain chemistry. But personally, as someone who is bipolar, I used to see the effects it had on my loved ones, and I wanted to take proactive measures to be the man I needed to be for them. That may not be the case for everyone, but I was also physically abused and beaten to some extent as a child, I feel like my problems stemmed from the issues i dealt with as a kid, but no amount of therapy can fix a BRAIN CHEMISTRY IMBALANCE. I only use capital letters to emphasize, not yell. But those people need chemistry to help combat those internal feelings and I'm an example. I've had more than my fair share of issues but i gladly use medicine to combat those issues, and I wished everyone who had internal mental issues would also have medicine to help them. Anyway, I only say this to help someone who is struggling and needs help, but if therapy doesn't help them, maybe look into chemical intervention if you can afford it, friend.

Naive, nonsense - what clichéd rubbish. Plenty of lovely people become alcoholics and they return to being lovely people when (and if) they stop drinking. Addiction isn't some 'diabolical demon' trying to escape one's mortal flesh - it's a well documented medical condition which required a combination of clinical treatments (i.e. an exorcism doesn't cure addiction!).

Alcohol is the devil in a bottle it shouldn’t be legal drugs aren’t any better, I mean I was a stoner and an alcoholic for 15 years I’m 30 and I’m 2 and a half years sober I will be sober for the rest of my life and I’m like a gym addict now I got my childhood sense of wonder and humor back and the world would be better off without drugs and alcohol I’m sorry my third eye has been opened and now I just pity people who think they have to have it and the relapse rates are unbelievable people can’t quit to save their lives and I got heavily involved with NA I quit because it was so depressing getting attached to people and supporting them and watching them throw away amazing progress over a weekend I hate it I hate it that people have access to drugs and alcohol I ruined my life over it before 30 and I still pay the price but I’m better off than I ever was, in and out of prison for 10 years it just clicked and one day in my cell I said I’m not doing this anymore. I wouldn’t wish addiction on my worst enemies it’s a miracle I’m alive and I wonder why I’m alive because I should’ve been dead close to 20 times. It is so ridiculous and marijuana is a gateway drug it don’t continuously get you high it becomes like an expensive cigarette then you start drinking with it then you start using other drugs I hate it.
@dj-flights7376
@dj-flights7376 2 месяца назад
Also, when you drink more than a couple drinks (or use drugs) you release an artificially high count of "feel good" chemicals like dopamine and endorphins. However, your body wants to be in balance (homeostasis), so it releases something called "Dynorphins" -- they block the receptor cells from the feel good chemicals in order to stabilize your mood because you are feeling unnaturally too high/good. Point is, there is no way to drink to feel good. Your body will just bring you back down, and the dynorphins last into the next day and even the day after that. It makes it difficult to feel good naturally when you have dynorphins released in your body for a few days. So you're better off not drinking at all. It only lasts a couple hours before your body brings you back down. There's really no point in drinking. Alcohol is everywhere, it's ridiculous. Like the saying goes "Drinking is borrowing happiness from the next day". Good luck.

The alcohol itself doesn’t make somebody angry. The person is already angry, they are just drinking to try and self-medicate and the alcohol makes the pre-existing anger less controlled.

So , does so called AA meetings work? well it depends on the individual who has the problem but only that individual as I said it is a Choice !!! because no one just decides to start drinking or drugs and i'm not referring to Curiosities, I'm talking about drinking and taking drugs. there is always a reason behind someone's wanting to always choose the drinking or drugs , take me for instance by the look of how my life has been would I choose to take drugs if the opportunity arises ? well I aint ashamed to say it but yeah I probably would just go ahead and take them because the way I've been made to feel from some people , sure why not I don't care. I'm emotionally de**, anyway because of personal reasons. so. does AA meetings help ? in my opinion the answer is No !!!!!! they don't.

and I'll tell you right now , both my mother and brother were big time Alcoholics and they both went to AA meetings for a time and at one time they did stop drinking but at any sign of life problems they went right back to drinking and it became worse well our mother is dead and my brother still goes straight for the Alcohol , and because of it he got behind the wheel of a car while drunk and he ended up going through the windshield and came extremely close to dying but thank goodness he is still here but he isn't the same again. there are not always do overs when one chooses to drive drunk same goes for druggies

Alcoholics don't get angry. Alcoholics with unresolved issues get angry. There is a profound difference. Those who drink and are fundamentally "happy" drunks are living their version of truthfulness. I am not condoning alcohol consumption, but I believe the unfiltered truth arises to consciousness when people drink. Bet on it.

Makes common sense. I’ve seen it in myself and others. Essentially the nervous system is irritated during withdrawal from a substance. Seems correlated with the amount and duration of indulgence. For example, a weekend binge, or vacation, or habitual daily use. Usually a weekend binge can be recovered in a day or two. If we’re self aware of the mechanism we can accept consequences and regulate behavior. In many cases I think people expect to be happy all the time and that’s what leads to the cycle.

I disagree with your context friend. You’re intentions are good but you’re not addressing the big picture and primary antagonist of why alcoholics continue to drink. That’s because there’s an underlying problem that they haven’t figured out how to deal with. If the source of the problem is not addressed then there will continue to be downfalls w/ this addiction. Alcoholics don’t generally seek only joy but are affected by grief and sorrow of their own kind regularly and continue to find temporary refuge at the expense of alcohol abuse.

It depends. If you drink too much, it will dredge up your problems and you’ll act out. If you’re dating a problematic woman and you drink a bottle of tequila, you’ll fly off the handle. If you still got unresolved childhood issues, it’ll come out. If you don’t have girl problems or personal problems, and you drink a bottle of tequila… you’re just giggling.

its that that they want to act that way its that they cant. addiction is a disease of faulty decision making. NO ONE chooses to be an addict or alcoholic. Its absolutely miserable. Recognize as alcoholics and addicts we must be dishonest with ourselves. The behavior is irrational so we must lie to justify doing what we are doing. As alcoholics we have lost control. Unfortunately just quitting or not drinking does not work for most people. An alcoholic without alcohol is one of the most miserable people ever. The alcohol must be replaced with recovery. Recovery is not the absence of alcohol or drug abuse. It's creating a life where alcohol or drugs are no longer wanted or needed. If a loved one has an alcohol problem then you have a problem as well. Everyone around the alcoholic gets sick. For the non-drinker go to ALANON. The drinker must want to stop. When they do they need other alcoholics who are now sober to help them. Going to treatment can help but no 30 program will ever cure the disease. There is no cure. There is in the end only recovery, jail or death for the serious alcoholic. Unfortunately most alcoholics die from the disease. Some who find recovery will develop a way of living that was better than before they started drinking. Recovery or healing needs to be spiritual to really work. Alcoholics in recovery can only maintain quality recovery by helping alcoholics who still suffer. Alcoholics in their disease will often not listen to those who have not gone through the process. There are AA meetings in every town and city in America. We are everywhere. Come join us as we trudge the road to happy destiny. Good luck
