Personally like Dragon Howl better. Also like the Eternal Sphere more on Claude, just because of the Star effect. Otherwise, the only nit I have is the low Mp at start.
Man, gotta love the shoestring-budgets they had for voice talents back then. IF they had any budget for VAs here. Many of the voices were probably supplied by translators and localizers they had on hand in the office, and all they got per line was probably a single take.

If you fight her 10x on the 10x time your screwed she will rape your party and you get glitch dead. It was a troll from the developers on the 10x time. lol

Even on the remake IF BLOODY ARMORS exist Ashton still SUCKS and I'll still use Claude Dias Opera and Chisato ALL with bloody armors against Etheral Queen even on Earth mode at lv 255.
I mastered this game, secret dungeon to the end with that dumb santa shop and items. Bowman and Ashton are the most op on the PS1 version. SO2's Engish voice tracks are nothing short of legendary. There's some real hot jank in there. One of my favorites is the Celine line 'what is this monster-' that's clearly cut off at the end. Bless the game for having a dedicated menu and collection system for listening to all of the voice lines.
Trade Ias for Prisces bang bang attack and you'd have the perfect team,also there is another way to summon a different version of het with the illusive shamisen. Good luck she levels up with you so at max level she becomes unbeatable lmk what you get I never went back lol .
Yeah, SO2 in PS1 and PSP have different voice actor. But I like SO2 The Second Story sounds, especially Dias voice. Dias has cool voice when using killer move.
Don't be like me and play the song, save, then exit. If you load back in, you'll fight her automatically. Soft locked my entire save file to this date ;(
Note that those only work until a character reaches Lv. 99. Once they reach 100+, the medals will no longer take effect. Extension Cards/Experience Cards when farming EXP on COT/MOT when encountering Thieving Scum Lv. 99s or Mind Flayers are really a nice thing too.

It really makes the other stats superfluous when every character's hp maxes at only 9999. Might be the only thing later Star Ocean games did objectively better than the first two.
And there's a similar stat cap issue with 9999 being the damage cap, making multi-hit killer moves the best option by far and most of the awesome spells being meh because they hit once, it's not entirely useless as a free unblockable hit from all the way across the screen, but yeah, kinda crap. You can see in this video he's using a 3-attacker party which is pretty much standard, can even go aggro with Rena but you have to play that carefully and with more recovery items.
