I used to fish in illinois all the time i lived in that horrible state i fished havana, bath, chandlerville, Carlyle lake Mississippi river all the way up to quincy game wardens in this state are assholes except a few new guy in harden is a nice dude
I agree with Illinois being horrible. Never fished those places besides the Mississippi River. I will have to google map them and see how far away they are. Most of my interactions have been good with the game wardens here. I Must of caught them on a good day. Thanks for watching
Yeah I think half the time I catch a drum it swallows the hook. Yeah good bait for sure, and people are telling me good to eat as well. Thanks for watching
Hey bud you won the giveaway, you can check this video link I posted in this comment and pick out what baits you want. In the video I say how to get my email. Let me know what 4 baits you want and color. Then I will need your address to send them to you. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ndExn09yQ50.htmlsi=ISIu-K-5dct_0Knc
So Buffalo are native species and actually not a carp, they are in the sucker family. so I do throw them back. Actually I throw most fish back even the common carp. The only fish I don’t throw back that I don’t plan on eating are Silver and Bighead carp. I also hear Buffalo is very good to eat. I will have to try it sometime.
It's a gar with that snout. I've been fishing there for 40 years. They get a lot bigger. I've only seen Sturgeon jump when they were hooked up. I don't know why but there has been a lot of Sturgeon caught by Red Wing and Lake Pepin. My cousin has gotten 4 while I got one.
Yeah I would like to give that place another try sometime. I think I just went on an off weekend. We did start to dial down some of the fish on the last night we were there, but it basically Drum and White bass. Still a fun place. Do you think it could’ve been a paddlefish at all? Thanks for watching
Yeah I already have footage for one of the recipes, I just need sometime to edit and post on RU-vid. It might be posted in a couple weeks. Thanks for watching
@JEM133 thanks for subscribing Jeff, welcome to the community. Yeah I was just telling someone I probably catch 1 turtle a year, and I catch 6 just that evening lol.
@BananasacOutdoors That's crazy, never caught a softshell, caught a couple snapping turtles in Louisiana, as a kid. I'm in the Eastern High Sierras, trout rules, here.Bucketlist fishing would be Pyramid near Reno. Huge cutthroat.......10 lbs,are entry level large.
I’ve had a few other people tell me that as well to avoid the turtles. It was a crazy day, I usually only catch 1 or 2 a year. 6 in one day was insane lol. Thank you for watching
I think it was just an off day, the next day none of us caught a turtle. Definitely not what I was expecting, but I still had a good time hanging with the crew I went with. Thank you for watching
You either need a Wisconsin or Minnesota license to fish from the barge. It’s on border waters and as long as you have one of the 2 you are good. Thanks for watching
@@BananasacOutdoors yeah man there’s been some huge Muskie, walleye, pike, flatheads, even blue cats caught there. Very nice spot. Alittle further down at the ymca go behind it and walk down the path to the east. Or go to the park to the east of that. There’s some nice holes you can fish off the bank very smooth water
